Cactus Builds Are In Need Of Some Nerf

First off I want to state that I have done a fair share of end game duels thanks, having 2xlv94 1xlv91 and 1xlv77 of all four classes is difficult to miss out any major imbalance in the game

Secondly, I generally believe that arguments and discussions can be done without telling the other person they are wrong, coz everyone have different opinion and different perspective. Therefore I respect your view and I hope that you do the same

Thirdly, in terms of whether cacti are imbalance or not, there's no need to use a universal standard to measure a build, you're using survivability. Different builds have different things they specialise in, such as walk speed build are specialise in fast travelling, alka builds are pure damage and cacti may have a higher survivability when attack by normal boss, they definitly won't have a definite advantage when in other situations

Lastly, yes I agree with you that wynncraft needs player suggestions to make the game better, but suggestions are different from opinions, and if this is a suggestion, then wrong section

20*100=2000, 2000/10000=20% not 4%

 

A simple easy solution to this, just be poor. Then you wont every have to worry about dueling anyone with endgame cactus builds, because you'll be stuck trying to pass level 60.

 

Its 20 x 20, not 20 x 100 if you read the question. 20 x 20 is indeed 400. 80% of 100 is 20 (agility) and of those 20 strike you only take 80% damage (20) and thus is how i get the 4% number.

 

How to avoid cactus builds
1. Be Mage
2. Use Statue
3. Have a decent mana regen
4. Spam spells
5. Succeed

 

Man those throne builds. Kings have wayyyy to much time on their hands if they are breaking wynncraft.

Based along the same line as @ClumsyRecon's first comment, agility is just as over powered. Now what I think would happen if they nerfed reflection is that anyone with an ability build would be unkillable from there on. Unless they used something that seriously greatly needs a nerf (Az, Alkatraz). Some people automatically assume a person is using a cactus (reflection) build the moment they notice the person reflected damage back to them, though some people may just have it for the extra help not to 100% cactus build. For example, Call of the Void, Leo, Crystal & Memento are the armour pieces I wear and it was completely unintentional when I first designed it to even have 100% reflection and you're probably thinking I'm going against what I previously said.. I guess you're right in a way because I could just get my 3/4s 16% reflection Crystal leggings other than the ones with 56% but who uses items worse than the better ones they have? Anyways back to the main point I think that both agility & reflection should be reworked a bit because agility is kinda plain .. and reflection is just very strong. If they did just do a power nerf but not the reflection identification rework I'd also say it should be more 50% of the damage otherwise it wouldn't be used at all (Mana steal..)

How so? I doubt you've even given it a chance since you're always talking about how assassin is underpowered. I've played every single class and they're all nice to me.

 

i have a lvl 52 mage which is not very high , but i have played it for a while , its simply boring imo

as i said more then once , PLEASE dont get off topic cactus may not be the only OP build but its one of the most op builds AND i am not talking about alka builds , agility builds hell even intl builds , this is about cactus
ok your idea for a nerf with 50% it solid but i also think thorns/reflection shouldnt work with life steal since it helps afk grinders which is just stupid , you can afk and go watch a movie while a friend of your has to work his ass off to grind
and also gaining life back from being hit is messed up and isnt a good idea

 

You are right, getting healed from being hit makes no logical sense at all. If they took away life steal from thorns/reflection it would mean that the game makes more sense logically, but then all the cactus build people would get mad just like the mages did when the spell damage bug fix happened because it ruined their game-breaking build.

 

Make corkus gr8 again

 

Guy gets one shot, cactus lives because other hits dont happen. Tested :P


For the actual post, idk who's idea it was to deal 100% damage back in neutral, because the only determining factor in that fight is poison, hp, and sustain. That definitely needs a massive nerf, i should not be purposely avoiding people in the nether because if i hit them, i get one shot.

Also, these ids should not proc on hit effecfs. If you are trying to fight someone with 4k/3 poison, and you avoid all of their attacks, unless you kill them in about 3 seconds you die (as you are taking your damage too). This needs to happen as this build is procing life steal too...

 

tl:dr, but why would you ever ask for a nerf? Given the history of past nerfs, you should know that thye take it WAY overboard.

I would kind of rather over powered, because people who dont want overpowered could use another build, and those who dont could just not use that specific build.

 

but then everyone else would be at a disadvantage ... and underpowered means 1 build is not as good , over powered means nearly every other build is not as good

 

Welp if you can't beat them, join them. People just want other people's builds to go down the drain and into the sewers lost forever, then somehow their build becomes good again and that build rules over and will probably get nerfed so it has some likely hood that if you nerf cactus builds you strengthen all others that use other builds than cactus.

 

thats because cactus is better than most builds aka it needs a nerf there really isnt anything else to it , cactus builds are stronger than your average balanced build meaning they are op

Also, why would anyone rather something overpowered than underpowered :/. In that case, lets buff Az, since a lot of archers already use it. It'll make their lives easier, and then other archers will be forced to use it too, see? Everyones happy! :D (No)
