Bring Back The Old Ring Textures

This will probably get nowhere, but oh well, it’s worth a try.

So as most of you know from this thread: https://forums.wynncraft.com/threads/changes-in-the-economy-update-resource-pack.239492/, some textures changed for the upcoming update. However, a lot of people (including me) don’t really like the new ring textures because they look boring and lazy, for a lack of better words. I can see why the rainbow wand textures were changed because not a lot of people liked them, but the rings? Nobody asked for them to change. As for the new rings, they’re just a loop with a gem placed on them, which besides the rainbow rings, look exactly the same other than color. I liked the old rings because they looked different other than color and were more detailed.


Also, as a disclaimer, this isn’t meant to bash the new textures. I think pretty much all of them are an improvement over the old ones, except for the rings. Think of this thread as sort of a petition to get something changed.

 

I prefer the old one but i voted no because the new rings fits with the new textures more.

Maybe the should then remake old rings in the new style but keep their overall shape?

 

That seems like the best solution. I agree that they should keep the shape, but change the color to fit the pack.

 

One of my biggest issues is how the gems almost look like they were put on the side of the ring and not on top.

Exactly, plus the shape of the ring looks more rigid. Which I know this is pixel art and all, but not everything has to be a square :-/

 

I fully agree. The new rings look like failed 3D printed plastic abominations, I would be ashamed to wear them on my character.

Other than that, I think nametags, brewing stands, potatoes, carrots, and misc. crop items, should also be reverted to their old textures. The 1.13 style is a bit strange imo, it made baked potatoes look unappetising, truly unacceptable.

 

I personally love everything about the new textures except the rings.

The rigns are too bolbous, and they look like an inflatable pool ring.

However the rest of the textures fit with Wynn's theme much more
