    It was actually something of an inside joke. Dogwqter went with me for my first corrupted dungeon - undergrowth ruins. And I am really bad at parkour. So the climbs were a bit slow...

    kind of off topic, but I did start my next class - a battle monk. Also a third class but not really for playing. I started a mage, skipped the tutorial, hopped on a horse and rode to Detlas. There is a little passage through the wall from behind the tm into the bank and it's about 10 steps between the market and ender chest. That's where that mage will live pretty much forever. Every town with a bank now has a market. It's going to make my online play time look way worse. With 2 active classes, I need to churn more stuff, reselling what I buy or selling good drops or loot items, so I have been leaving it running a lot with an active player that's at the market.
    But there is an on topic tangent on my tangent. Something I have wondered about and mentioned before - why is it that low level items with % aren't preferable to some higher level (often selling at crazy prices) items? Here is my lv 28 warrior build:

    That Onion Ring is a tasty one - 8% xp bonus and 8% loot bonus. It's lv 12. Yes, there are some at upper ranges that *can* go higher, but it could stay in the build for quite a while.

    And still more on topic, in what seems like the first time in a while, my boltslinger build is unchanged from a couple of levels back and even a couple before to some degree; I made the big change of bow at 85, but had the other gear not only on hand but in use.

    very happy with it and based on how it performs I think it will be a few levels before tinkering.

    I finally spent some time in the waterfall cave today with a party. Did about a half level. Died once, got more healing potion and came back, climbed out and bought more and came back once after that. The party was there a while. When it ended, I didn't realize it at first until I was alone with the mobs. I tried climbing out again, but the mobs followed me and were hammering me when I was trying to get in the water column and start up. That is a seriously crazy place. The hardest mobs for me were the little caffeinated toddlers. They would come in fast and chip away at my health. If I had an angel up it would get them, but they would make contact. I was mostly spamming storms on everything else. The build only requires a very slight pause to support that.

    basically it doesn't really matter what you wear as a low level until you get to wearing the full adventurer's set, two morph-topaz, durum's serenity, and whatever bracelet

    and karma is a really good at-level spear, but it takes a bit of grinding (which includes dungeons)
    and a lot of people don't really like flying kick so its personal preference.

    Here’s a tip: Due to the absurd amount of exploding they have, Legendary Smasher (and on an unrelated note, the dagger Stabsand you get at around the same level) are really good weapons for the spider grinding spot near Nemract, easily being able to solo it without potions or consumables with a decent exploding roll and armor(adventurer’s works well because of its high xp bonus.) With half-moon swipe and maybe a bit of fallen ability points, it‘ll be an absolute breeze to level there.

    Even though it's back a few levels, I should go out there and run through the altar. It's one of the many things I didn't know about first time through.

    I also have a Psion Marker. Planning to play with them back and forth later. Around level 20, I really liked the spider (labeled as something else, but they were spiders) cave near Tavernes. I got through a few levels really quick there. I was surprised to find the chest would still have a decent item or two every time through, not just an emerald or two, which seems to be common for successive runs. The "rule" about grinding near your level was very evident there. It was bang, bang bang through 3 or 4 levels and then started barely moving the bar all at once. Caves are nice as you don't get blindsided if you are thorough and keep moving.

    It would be difficult to really be a battle monk without it. You would have to pick up a couple of Paladin abilities going around it. I understand why it is a preference thing, though. Definitely mixed feelings about it.

    lv 88, probably a quest or grind away from 89, and still no changes from 85 build except for "stashed" ability points. I had stomp before and really didn't get much benefit, so I am not getting it again until I can also get geyser with it at the same time and progress down the tree.

    Did the Hidden City quest and have the fast travel from there to Thesead, but I am not sure its exists get me what I hoped, which is an easier way back to Cinfras and the rest of western gavel. So I may still be climbing and cliff diving, since I didn't (pretty much can't) do the marauder quest for the gate from near Thanos to near Thesead. I suspect there is an alternate way that I just haven't found. Trying to skirt that gate climbing around it really doesn't work. Might run around looking for alternate later or might just put up with the climb and descent. Other than that annoyance, it isn't a bad route.

    also, ran around a little and I don't think there is a good alternate route to Thesead/Eltom or back if you don't do marauder. Climbed and jumped down the cliff again. Could be trouble for my battle monk when I get it to this stage. Escape is pretty much required for the route I have been doing, but there is a spot that looks like it might be an alternative that I haven't tried yet. It's still a climb, though. I don't thinkl the climb I am doing was an oversight in the design.

    Obviously referring to my comments about my battle monk, second class I am in the process of levelling up...
    I wondered if that might be the case. Makes my feeling that the route up is no accident even stronger. A bridge/stair/ledge path up to a cliffside prof house with a pretty obvious path to get past the house. It does tail out and turn into the shades of gray stones that are typically used in the unclimbable cliffs, but it seems slightly too easy and obvious. I have done others that I don't think were by design (in the crashed airship quest, you can go around the side of the hill, escape up and escape over to the airship and not have any parkour), but I kinda think this one is.

    one more interesting development in my climbing in and out of Thesead issue. My currently lv 41 battle monk got a drop of near perfect legendary Seven League boots. Around lv 44, which is what they require, they are almost impossible to work into a build with much power or hp because of the crazy high agility requirement. At lv 88, it's not so crazy. I can swap into them without changing points or losing gear. Yeah, the hp drops from about 14,000 to about 9500, but I cn jump straight off a cliff or even the middle of the high bridge leaving Thesead and take no damage. I will still have nearly all bow/spell power and speed for days, especially if I add in the windy/stormy feet. Making it to a town or a prof building with a door should be no problem, then I can switch back and wait a couple of minutes for hp regen, sip some potion or just keep going because I probably will be fine. I had a pair before I was hanging on to and decided to move when I got the Passus Lux. Then I sold those because they are not a pair you can just easily swap into; it required a bit of adjustment.

    and please use a w6 powder on ttide
    i think that there is a path that is like a ramp from the lower part of cotl and it brings you to a place very close to thesead. I cant tell you exactly where it is at this moment but when I log on tmr I'll find it.
    That road could potentially be a bypass of the maurader's gate.

    you can take no fall damage if you just cast escape spell backward, making you like fly off the cliff, but then since you're in the escape spell you still take no damage even when falling from a very high height.
    you can also just ride a horse off a cliff and you'll be fine. the horse is also miraculously ok

    also, on the fall damage note
    I believe you can now cast escape midair once, but afterward, you need to land again before casting
    also if you're not aware if you jump right before you cast escape you'll be launched very far horizontally and not vertically

    I knew about the horse, but the horse can't get up to the ridge and I am not sure how it reacts to the first couple of drops to a single block to get far enough out, though I guess I could just do a jump. I will have to experiment more with escape, but I didn't think it worked except on the ground. Def didn't know about fall damage prevention.

    condensed to just changes. It looks like you are pushing more health and mana regen. Seagazers are available, but no sequencer on the tm. will check again later. Loving my market mage; archer is by a bank but with no tm.

    One other note about archer in general. Since I have started on my second class, the battle monk, I do understand the comment a lot of people make about archer needing to be nerfed. There have been a few quests that I cruised right through on archer, crushing every mob including the boss, that I am limping out of battered, bloody and with hp almost depleted with battle monk. Clearing the Camps had 5 second boss fights I waltzed through on archer. They were much longer with battle monk and it did feel like a more substantial accomplishment to complete them. I am still not sure archer should be nerfed; there are ratings and it is classified as easier. So is battle monk and I suspect that happens with abilities I am just getting to or will after a bit. Also, the best way to do battle isn't as obvious with battle monk.
