Building organics (people, animals, weird bird-people with guns, plants, etc) is always difficult

First off - make some dope terra. Use some world edit if you aren't experienced with terraforming by hand. Then focus on your buildings. That's a general rule of thumb for any practice build, I say. If you're looking to make something for a purpose, definitely plan out everything first. Right now, I think you just need some practice. Crack out a tool of your choice (I usually use stone hoe) and do /br sphere stone 3 to get a 3-radius stone sphere brush. Right click anywhere to place that sphere. Keep going until you have a decent shape. Flatten it out with /br smooth <radius>. Then go fix up the sides. Rinse and repeat; make some cool shapes. Archways, overhangs, cliffsides, or just some ground that isn't flat.

Once you get a hang of making cool shapes in terrain, I suggest learning to do it by hand since it's usually going to be 100x better when done by hand.

    Have fun :)
