Better Banks


How Banks Work Now
Banks have 1 rows by default and 5 rows that you can purchase.
Although these rows can be cheap, space runs
out quick with various items
that you'd like to keep, or just from quests.

When people run out of space at high levels, I see that they
usually end up using their classes as storage.
This is NOT was classes were meant for.
This thread is to try and prove that us Wynncraftians
are in need of a new system.

How Banks Should Work
Me and my friend @Dirtobert have created a new banking system
that completely changes your storage space.
How it will work is like this.
When you enter your bank through an enderchest, it will have some new features.
There will be an "Emerald Counter" that keeps track of your money in the bank.
For example. if you have 3 Liquid Emerald and 2o blocks it will say
"[13568] Emeralds"
This will count all the emeralds in your bank so you don't have
to look for them across multiple pages of the bank.

Pages

"Page" is the easiest term to use when describing multiple chests for storage.
Instead of saying "The first storage space" we say "The first page".
The bank will include multiple pages.
When moused over, the pages will specify how many slots are available.
Each page when selected will have entirely different inventories to increase space.
The second page would have to be purchased of course to make it fair.
Afterwords each page after that would scale up in price
to make this system work well rather than create excessive space.
The player would only have to buy it if they needed it.

Quest Items

In addition, you will have a whole page, dedicated to quest items.
Simply because it is clear that quest items seem to take up most of our bank currently.
Ideally, this page will have just enough space for all of the quest items in the game.
So you won't necessarily run out of room. You will just complete the page.




In the new "Gameplay Update", there are now 5 different types of powders
Air, Thunder, Water, Earth, and Fire
Each powder has 6 tiers, over time, collecting powders takes up a ton of space.
If you're unlucky like me you tend to get a lot of different tiers which gets annoying.
At a maximum, these can take up 30+ spaces! That's over half the current bank space!
With this system, we could have a page with 30 or more spaces specifically for powders alone.
(Don't have an example screenshot just yet but I need someone to make it!)

Happy Halloween everyone! Today we have hit over 100 likes which is truly amazing
and we are soon coming up to 300 supporters! This idea could not have
gotten so far without all of you to accept it and with you we can
make this a true change in all of Wynncraft! Thank you!

is slowly getting closer and closer to becoming reality in the world of

I have re-read the thread and changed a couple things to clear up something
that I saw people continuously misunderstand. I believe the whole thread
should be fully complete and understandable. We're slowly
creeping to 400 supporters and 200 likes!

Hello Wynncraft community, it has been a while since I posted an update
and would just like to mention we hit 500 supports and 200 likes!
Now THAT is something truly amazing. There is however one problem
People seem to continue getting confused about some features of the bank
so if you aren't sure on something just feel free to ask and also
let me know so I can edit the thread to be more clear.

As an amazing surprise, I actually like this idea.

However, I don't think each bank section should be that big. Maybe only 3-4 rows.

 

Thanks for your input! Things can always be re-done to fit what everyone wants. Even the price for the other page can be increased to make it much more fair. If the GM's decide to change the bank to this system then perhaps they will edit the whole thing to have less excessive space. Who knows, maybe we will have TOO much space if this happens.

EDIT: I got rid of the issue where you couldn't see the text but if there's something else specific wrong that i'm missing please let me know!

 

What would be really nice if there was a button called sort were armour goes in one section weapons in another and emeralds in an other section. This would make our banks easy to navigate so instead of having to search for armour just press sort and vwolla!

I think if banks were done like this then they would have to be much smaller spaces to compensate for so many different sections otherwise it would be too OP. As you have to currently buy additional rows, with this system I also think purchasing extra space for the sorted menus should be available, if it is done this way of course. Thanks for the input btw!

 

Wait what if you could change Emeralds to Eb in your bank

 

Then that would defeat the purpose of Bank Merchants

 

But where there are bank there are emerald merchants it would only make sense considering this is a bank option

 

Considering they would have to remove all those NPCS and add this extra feature I think its too much work for what its worth

 

100% agree. Im currently only able to play my mage class as the rest of them are just being used as banks

 

What about a trash button if you want to get rid of a item dragg to trash

 

That could work as long as makes you confirm to throw away something so you don't accidentally throw stuff away

I really need this!
And a little idea for the too much space problem:
Maybe its possible to incerease the bank space equalized with your overall lvl.
What I mean with that is:
When you have a mage lvl 20, and an archer lvl 50, your overall lvl is lvl 70.
for example you can buy +1 row every 50 overall lvl's.
I hope you understand what I just writed.

That could definitely work if it were to be determined correctly, also I should of thought of a powder section before getting those screenshots because I completely agree, the powders now take up so much space being 6 tiers and 5 different kinds now. Thanks for you input! I'm going to edit the thread to include this now.
