Banter (pigmen's ravines) - ikijimi

When I first arrived at Ragni there was a gate to the right which I wasn't at all skilled-up enough to go through. I was killed the instant I walked out of the city.
Yesterday I was feeling self-destructive and ventured into lands I had not laid eyes on before and walked past a lot of the Corrupted and I wasn't too overwhelmed with fights.
I kept walking the path, seeing many riding past on their fast steeds, and I eventually walked a winding path rising up following the left wall and walking into a black abyss.
Next, I am on top of a snow-covered mountain where explosions can be heard but not seen is what was making that noise.
I turn around to face a deadly green creature who suddenly exploded the instant we locked eyes. I go hurling into the air so high up that it took a moment to see where I was going to hit the ground.
Fortunately, I landed on a prepared platform and bounced, taking no damage.
I had landed in a hidden village not named on the map. I found the guy to whom I was greeted by and given a few important assignments to help with clearing the hidden village supply routes that had become inundated with the deadly Corrupted.
During this time in helping, I had gotten lost within the vastness of ravines, and I began to grow with worry that I would be stuck for longer than I wanted to be.
Then, around one corner, I see a familiar crest above a stone walled gate. The R of Ragni.
I had found myself walking into Ragni through the gate I couldn't walk out of.
