    Took a bit longer than I had planned, but it's time for a new episode of Shit Anime I Watch While Grinding Professions. This is the second-to-last part of my Summer Rat phase, meaning this episode's anime was also a recommendation I binged through.

    This time I will be reviewing Amagami SS, an animated adaptation of a dating sim of the same title
    Due to the nature of the source material, the structure of the series is very particular. Instead of a single plot lasting the whole series, the first season was cut into 4-episode "mini-shows" each going through a girl's route. This gave the anime a very formulated and rushed feel.

    On the other hand, having a romance anime actually progress at a steady pace is also a refreshing take. Most romcoms like this simply loop around for ages, avoiding any serious advances in character relationships. In Amagami SS, each romance is condensed into a tidy package, with the MC going from acquaintances to lovers with some of the girls all in the four episodes.

    In summary; Nice experience for anyone into the romance genre, albeit unsatisfying if you're looking for a smoothly digesting show. With the variety of girls, there will certainly be some to strike your fancy, and some who definitely won't. I'd recommend watching this in batches of 4 episodes.

    Overall score:
    4/10, Kaoru best girl
    Farming: 95 -> 100
    Mining: 100 -> 101
    and a whole bunch of crafting profs. Hit 1200 total during this

    Next episode is going to take particularly long, as I was requested to watch the first season of Macross, a 36-episode scifi show from the 80s
