To expound a bit more on this novel of a explanation:
Due to changes to the way strength and dexterity work in 1.20.3, many items had to be nerfed to keep the disaster of hotfix 6 from occurring again (essentially they changed str & dex without changing the item pool and this resulted in ludicrous damage numbers and powercrept the entire game.)

Event horizon, Cascade, The Nothing, Peaceful Rest, Judas, and probably more have been nerfed by varying degrees, but really that really doesn't matter, as it's just to balance out the dps increase from the str/dex changes. Mostly it's the armor changes that are very relevant, such as skill point nerfs to a lot of rainbow gear like bmask, fcosmos, etc. Those are the sort of changes that would break a pre-1.20.3 build.

This is mixed mana, not full spell spam, but I couldn't come up with a fully mr-reliant build that was very good. Make sure to use interpolated melees between spells for ms.

Can switch a Summa out for Hellion if -LS is a problem, esp with a bad ddance.

Relevant demon tide thresholds are:
1st spellcost: -34% (if you care about 1 mana heals)
3rd spellcost: -26% (needed for 1 mana meteors)
(2nd & 4th spell cost reductions don't matter at all)

I'm sure a slayer, or especially a resu, would make a pure build a lot easier to do. Might play around with those.

Once you complete the fire division of the Qira Hive, it'll give you a hive fire token that you can spend at the fire vendor at the hive. Cinderchain is one of the options.

The update is now rolling out on some worlds as I type this. Soon they'll all roll over and be 1.20.3.

no, it does give fewer sp in 1.20.3...unless you mean it will still give all 5 types of skill points, just less of each one (15 --> 12 of each). I've logged on to the new worlds and my bmask definitely gives 12 of each. And actually the sp it gives will be more powerful due to the str/dex changes...

Will using a slayer or resu give more spamability? I'm very much someone who just like runs fast with walkspeed and spams meteor and ice snake, so it would be a bit annoying to change to melee, and I solely use teleport to get around too so being able to spam that is kinda important.

Would a different weapon be better for my playstyle?

I'm not opposed to spending more, but would prefer not to
