Ppl say there is no “best” and use nice words like different playstyle to cover up the fact that they r too poor to buy good mythics. Stop denying it, some mythics ARE better than others and sometimes by A LOT which explains why their costs are all different.

so can you conjure up a definite best mythic? you can't.
-some mythics cost more than others not because they're better, but because they're more fun, newer, stand out more, or are easier to use.

is collapse better than apoc? probably not. is collapse more expensive? yes.
is divzer better than gma? also probably not. is divzer more expensive? yes.

-furthermore, although there are mythics that are generally considered much better than others such as fatal > monster, fatal competes with other fantastic wands such as lament, gaia, warp, and new singularity.

No i cant but there are definitely mythic classes as many threads have established. There r a certain group of mythics that r in the top tier, then good, then ok, then so on. Some use letters too. S tier, A, B, etc. and its in general agreement cata is either in the first or second tier therefore when madkurre said cata is disgusting i had many questions

Oh and yes, prices dont ALWAYS reflect how good an item is but it DEFINITELY IS affected. There is NO WAY an item like strati could POSSIBLY cost under 10 just like NO WAY an Item like monster could cost more than 10

 

and you may also notice that on those "mythic ranking threads"
-the op him/herself states that the thread is largely subjective
-there's controversy in the replies on whether or not certain items should be top tier, low tier, etc

reasons why cata is disgusting (preface: cata is still usable/viable, but i dislike it and find it overrated):
-(as an item to build) stupid reqs/drawbacks that make building it a pain and makes it stupid annoying to make an interesting build (130 dex req + -4k hp)

-(survivability) stupid reqs/drawbacks that make builds often lack survivability (good def/agi) compared to other mythics (nirvana, with imo the second biggest drawback (high req + -1k hp), is not even nearly as limiting as you're probably investing into int in most builds

-(mana) stupid reqs/drawbacks that make builds often lack mana, either in the form or raw mana or int, which also further lowers survivability due to no easy stunlock like nirv

-(chain lightning) now this is a long one:
let's compare the powder specials on the different thunder mythics

cata: higher damage chains
other mythics: (obviously) lower damage chains

cata: high reqs/drawbacks, hard to lower attack speed for good chains on a hybrid build
other mythics: lower reqs/drawbacks, easy to lower attack speed for good chains on a hybrid build

cata: meh amount of powder slots + base neutral make switching to, say, curse a little bit more awkward
fatal: no base neutral makes switching to curse easier
thrundacrack: higher powder slots makes switching to curse easier
divzer: hello 8/4 ms, why do you want to switch to curse again? if you DO however, it is in the same boat as cata

reasons why cata is ok:
generally higher damage (although there's probably less mana, which makes the damage difference smaller, and nirv probably beats cata in overall dps tbh, not to mention that if you DO get more int/mana on cata, you're probably sacrificing tankiness or raw damage anyway so)

tl'dr:
stupid reqs/drawbacks make everything sad time (imo)

 

I think a better way to put it is, they're basically incomparables
They excel in their own field, if it doesn't suit you (or most players, for that matter) then people think it sucks
but its still the best in its field

Also note that mythic ranking threads tend to disagree

 

keep in mind those rankings are also usually heavily biased and arent concrete 100% proof some mythics are better than others.
also check out nicbomb's list. he's a pretty decent builder unlike most of the people ive seen rankings by so hes not placing them in popularity order. though i dont fully agree with his list either the placement of cata in C rank is quite accurate in my opinion as well

mythic prices are retarded just look at gma vs divzer and realize a lot of other mythic prices make no sense either

Ok i just wanna buy an expensive mythic to flex :’( and i thought cata was rly cool and ive wanted to use one for so long... strati prices r going so high so its unwise to buy for now and warp is... moving on disco umm... ok that leaves divz— singularity and cata is definitely better than sing FROM MY POINT OF VIEW IN MY OPINION (dont wanna start another argument with this) so yea... just want a cata build

preferance: spell spam judas build that have near 10k hp and deal 10k meteor
restriction: lvl96, quest/discovery item is ok, no master hive(other division is fine), LI, mythic item
EDIT: boss altar item is ok too(exept orange wybel and corkus one)
Budget: A SINGLE LE, tons of FF key, tons of CSST item token, max mr meme&toe

so no tradables lol or u can use trench scourer for more hp and your biggest -defense is thunder but fix that with powders and youll get killstreak at the same time
