if -mana steal is cringe (fair, especially for courage stacking) then you can probably ddance/dhydro ring/reminder (tome req) or capri/mpc/detec (-1 ms, should still be usable)

Defo will need a good Trift but other than that, it looks nice. If you cycle heal meteor you can do black catalyst set + diamond hydro bracelet

Sadly no positive WS since it's Prest but it is a pretty damn strong wand. If you are dead serious on the positive WS part I can try to adjust it.

Bit of a budget melee build with decent eHP (12-14k dps if you get hit a bit and upkeep t4 courage, 80k~ eHP)

Made the build, because a friend wanted to test how melee mage felt.

Tested it in TCC and deals decent damage, especially if you get Stonewalker(which makes any fast melee build good, to be honest)

Is 28k ehp too squishy in general?

 

depends on player preference. in your eyes 28k could be anything from unplayable to plenty. by pre-raid standards it's pretty decent, especially on mage.

 

I agree with this comment.

I'd also like to add to this comment that it also depends on wether you are mainly agility or defense based. You can have an amazing high eHP with agility, but if a high hit comes through and you have not a high enough defense to take the hit, you die.

I like to try layering my defenses, if skill point allocation allows me to do so.
