The time delay between casting and hitting for meteor is 1.5 seconds. Ice snake is instantaneous.

If you want to keep arguing about Mage's heal, and you want it de-buffed, fine. But in exchange, give mages back the 20% deduction on armor stats. Oh, and while we are at it, mages are masters of magic, by definition. So, debuff all other classes' attacks that use magic by at least 1/3 because there is no way that any other class can work with magic nearly as well as mages.

Prior to Gavel, assassins were way overpowered. Many players, after Gavel came out, expected their assassin builds to work the same as prior to Gavel, ignoring the information that Salted was clearly saying; it's a new game, with new strategies needed to play. Your assassin isn't underpowered, and you've said this, however, it does need to have it's attacks rebalanced. That is a completely different topic from mages.

Mage's armor is debuffed by 20%. There are many areas in Gavel in which you must fight in close quarter combat. Mage's ranged spells work there, however, mages get the heck beaten out of them, and very *quickly. Some people are proposing that mages, the most magical knowledge class, have their healing spell debuffed, and their meteor spell debuffed. Here we go, again. Let's double debuff mages and take away armor protection; that makes it a triple debuff. Mages aren't the stay-behind-the-front-lines and heal-my-mighty-warrior class, anymore, since the Gavel update. Mages now get to fight mobs, and beat bosses, not using spears, or arrows, or sneak attacks, but, rather, by using magic. Well, isn't that incredible? Mages can use magic better than any other class? Who knew?

*Also consider this: you kill a bunch of mobs, and there are drops all over the place. A warrior just walks up checks each drop, pretty much ignoring the mobs. An assassin walks up and checks each drop, keeping an eye on the mobs. An archer runs through, grabbing every drop there is, then escapes to some high point to see what they have. A mage walks up and checks a drop, then has to heal, immediately, because he or she is getting the snot kicked out of them. One drop, at a time. Over, and over, and over. My mage is Lv94. I speak from experience. Debuff heal, and mages will get almost no drops in a heavy mob-slaying environment, and that is not fair at all.

I like how there isn't a single complaint about warrior anywhere on the forums.
