Are Element Tanks Balanced?

LOL, nope.
I can't get the requirements even with the stardust. My build is literally completely ruined as there is no way of me getting the extra SP.
I am archer, I don't have much options, and at this point, my only option is to completely remove hive leggings from my build.

 

What's the rest of your build?

 

Intel + air.
Agility for survival and mana for spell. Now I'll have to change it, or remove hive leggings.

 

Hopefully by next update defense is fixed and defensive Archers can actually be good.

 

What's the entire build, pre-nerf. I can probably figure something out.

 

This will go into effect next the configurations are updated to main. In otherwords, the next patch or update(which is always publicized).

 

Any other changes to hive items we need to be made aware of or is the SP change the only thing?

This already works if you have perfect SP...
But if you don't, Moon Pool and Raindrop --> Summas should give you enough skill points.

Summa is from the geyser pit boss altar in Corkus.

 

If all your gear had the maximum amount of SP, then you could have already gotten enough SP. If they're OK, but not perfect, switching to Summas should do the trick.

Summa can be obtained from the Geyser Pit boss altar.

 

Can I get summa twice?

 

You can get it as many times as you want, and it's free. May take a bit to get a good one though.

 

Yeah, that's the issue

My shimmersight has 23/30 Sp with 3/4 mana
Capricorn has 19/21 with 2/4 mana

It can barely get better than this. I have found shimmer only several times in hours upon hours of loot runs. I am extremely lucky to find the one I have right now.

I am currently missing 12 points to use hive leggings. If I want to use summas, I would need them BOTH to have 2/4 mana and at least 8 out of 9 maximum points. That is ridiculous to expect I'd find something like that, twice.

The easiest option right now is to completely remove hive leggings, which I did, and now I'm a glass cannon. And now I'll have to switch to another generic archer build because mine isn't usable anymore. I have lost 3k health, some serious elemental defense and health regen. I could use hive leggings if I trade 4 mana regen, but then I lose most of my power. My build lacked dmg, but you could spam it. Removing mana would severely limit it.
No idea what I'm gonna do now.

 

If you reeeeeeeeeeally don't want them to be usable in pairs at all, make them Set Items that give -150 in all Skill Points when at 2-piece or more :D

 

Bunch of us suggested that, he didn't feel like it was a right choice.

since when did this become a thread for debuffing hive items? shouldn't we get back on topic of elem tanks, and not the items they use, I mean we can always find other items, then what? they get a nerf too?
