Are Element Tanks Balanced?

Hive items are intended to be extremely strong, even if they were to get an increase for requirements it really shouldn't be that high of an increase, 50 is quite high, not all builds would be able to have that amount unless they went for more skill point based which is one of the things that this thread is attempting to prevent from occurring.

If set bonus is same like this then its completely usless.
-50% elemental defense and -25% elemental damage is enough if you use 4-piece.

 

Huh look at that, hive armor got changed to a requirement of 40 each, @Selvut283 any other changes we need to be aware of?

 

The point is that people stop wearing multiple pieces of hive armour.

I kept multiple available slots in case of a nerf like this iirc so I should be fine I hope. (Seriously, any other changes besides the SP increase or is that the only thing?)

Not really, most "legit" builds I can think of (that meaning that they don't use more than one Hive item or abuse +tier or anything like that) can still afford the skill points after this hypothetical nerf, they just get nerfed a bit and people are less encouraged to use Hive items. Which is good.


Also, Selvut just raised the requirements to 40 each. Still want more though :P

 

I mean the change was needed, a lot of builds will have to recalculate SP but its not that bad all things considered and does what was needed fairly well: you can still use the items together but it's fairly restrictive to use together. (Baring overuse of skill point items which most need a nerf anyway.)

Yes, the requirements for increased from 33 -> 40 in each element.

 

You need to be lvl 101 to use them together, if you are not using skill point boosting accessories.

 

Oh, it's not about that.
I have just one piece. I can easily get the SP using stardust. I don't like it cause it killed my creativeness of a build. Now I gotta do what everyone else is doing.

 

That honestly just FUCKED most builds. If he had done more right off the bat, I don't think the community would be very happy. If they're still overused and need a nerf after this change, then we'll see.

 

I did go to game and they still require 33 skill points, it takes time to change?

 

To be fair, most builds are abusive.
