How deep is the hole?

 

About 20 feet deep.

 

I tie mt rope to the closest tree and throw the rest of the rope into the hole, then I climb down.

 

When are you changing the name to Aarakocra edition?

Most of the rats burn to death.

The mercenary is still hiding.

Isn't combat over? The last rat swarm is burning alive.
Even if it isn't, I'm still going to move to peer down the hole.

 

The swarm still has about six rats left, that are still biting Luneth's feet off.

The pit is about 20 feet deep, and continues on a curved path past the "hub room" at the bottom. Just... see the map.

Luneth uses Cunning Action to Disengage and moves away, shooting her shortbow at the swarm twice.
Attack Roll 1: 14 + 4 = 18
Attack Roll 2: 10 + 4 = 14

Damage Roll 1: 1 + 2 = 3
Damage Roll 2: 5 + 2 = 7

The last rats are all impaled by Luneth's arrows. The combat is over. Everyone gets 60 EXP.

I grab the rope I attached to the tree and throw it down the hole. Is it long enough?

Several small wooden bells are hidden in recesses at various points along the pit.

How long is the rope? 50 feet?
