Another Dungeons & Dragons Campaign (6/6 Players)

I guess I'm going in.
I have to sort some stuff now ;-;

 

You can see that the tunnel continues a bit longer (while you're crawling with a light pebble, BTW), before going down a curving, almost spiral-y slope.

 

Okay. I go back to the others and say:
"This tunnel goes down a spiral-like slope."
I then proceed to check the middle tunnel.

 

I jumped over the fence right?

 

I think so. That's why I said was.

 

The tunnel crawls around a support beam and opens up into a dark, larger room.

 

I investigate the room as well I can.

 

The room opens up to an underground lake. On the shore with you is an old metal bucket, half-buried in the mud floor. Large dark shapes swim around in the water.

 

I'll follow you as backup

 

Can I try to determine what kind of creatures they are?
Also:
Erevan: "How did Val'tash not know about this?"

 

Roll a Perception check, with disadvantage due to the poor lighting.

 

"I have no idea"
I set up a reaction to shoot one of the creature if they attack us

 

Roll 1: 19+2=21
Roll 2: 11+2=13

 

The creatures in the water are thin and serpentine, although you can't make out much more than their silhouette.

 

Elzen follows Erevan and also does the perception check: roll 1:13, roll 2:20, so 13+3=16

 

The creatures also have dark-colored bodies with stripes, and mouths with sharp fangs.

 

This can be anything from a water weird to an aboleth to a leviathan. I'll say water weird.

Elzen tells the others what he saw and says "Maybe try the other cavern? The creatures look rather dangerous"
