You hit it in the back, but immediately after, the bear gets out of range and goes behind a hill.

 

It already ran 600 ft? thats one fast bear

 

Well, it also went behind a hill and is hard to aim at through this many trees, but it's still quite a fast bear.

 

Can i still attempt to shoot it by arcing the arrow?

You can only level up during a long rest I believe. So we don't get new stuff yet ;-;
