You're all continuing through the forest towards Val'tash's mineshaft. You find that the passage ahead leads through a small gorge, and the area to either side is heavily wooded. See the battle map.

The only time I've heard that word in mushroom gorge from Mario kart. I don't think that's a ravine.

 

You go over and through big canyon things on the Mario Kart track (although this is nowhere near as deep or big).

a large, bearlike creature, similar to the ones you've seen before.

It doesn't seem to notice you, but it's moving in your direction.
