also I soloed COW why are people saying you can't

 

ok, so i'm level 68 (doing ToL) and yea, I get you, we both soloed everything cuz it was easy, but im going to try it without help once to see what u mean. I might definitely need help, so look up to that... but yea, imma try to solo him...

 

0_0 6,400 hp is more health than my level 89 archer has.

 

Lemme guess, Air build? Which in general has pretty low hp

What's your build though?
Cause if he got killed in "10 sec", that means he had like nothing in def, CoW couldn't even damage me with his attacks, and only did 200-300 with multi.

 

Heavy defense. From the looks of it I run a build that just hard counters him. He never managed to do even 700 damage to me.

 

You could've just vanished, get to a spot where CoW can't get you, then endlessly throw smoke bombs at 'em like this...

 

True, his base damage is a joke if you're a tank, and it can corrupt your whole HP in seconds without any!
I see you're lvl 73, I'm gonna tell something real quick if you plan on fighting Bob
I had around 110 defence as of fighting Bob, and he couldn't hurt me (with shout on, of course), the only real problem is elemental damage from swords, some of them could hit quite hard if you have low (under 100) defences to those elements.
And if you're gonna fight him - always ask if you can finish him off if your teammates are hitting Bob for a lot, I've once killed it in a group of 2 other players (heavy tank too), I didn't get the seal first try ;-;

Do you know any armor I could pick up for better elemental defense while still having good health? Right now my elemental defense is kinda a joke.

If I remember correctly Bob has high elemental defense right? Meaning I should use only neutral damage for him? Is there a decent neutral spear I can pick up before fighting him? I currently have a unique, slow spear for ~180 neutral.

 

You're not bad CoW is just hard... Harder than Amadel's forms especially when you fight Amadel with only 2k health...

Anyway I had to get help from a friend and I fought him with 5k health at level 68.

 

For helmet, I'd recommend you a mask from Iboju Village, called "Mask of Courage"

You can get it for trading in 20 Antic Beads (drops from Altar Boss around the village.) at Tribe Merchant in this village.
You can drop a nice chestplate for lvl 70 in Temple of Legends' boss altar (You need 5 golden nuggets from trainers inside the temple)

mind stats can go even higher!

Alright thank you for that. I already have a fair bit of -spell damage. At what point would it be pointless to use spells instead of constantly meleeing?

How often do the nuggets drop? And is it feasible for me to solo the boss altar or should I look for help when doing it?

You will always gonna use spells if you have mana.
Good Ideas include using Bash and Scream to corner Bob, so he can't get to your squishy allies
Charge you will use to get close to Bob after he charges (dw, the charge isn't that good, he didn't hit me with it in all runs I had lol)
Uppercut can be used if someone can quickly follow up damage, so he ain't flying

Nuggets aren't as rare as legendaries, but they don't drop like emeralds with loot bonus gear either. You will probably spend a few minutes depending on luck/how fast you deal 3k damage.

The boss has a few forms, in which he deals other kind of elemental damage, and has quite beefy (not hard hitting) adds in his room, and if your elemental def is really bad, I'd advice a 2nd person in the room

I've always had trouble learning when to use spells and have been trying to work them into fights more but a lot of times end up clipping bosses into walls which feels...cheaty...and doesn't feel like an accomplishment when I win.

My elemental defense is ehhhhhh. It's at least all positive except for my air defense which is like -100 ._.

Although now that I think about it, I shouldn't have an issue because I need two others to get in the tomb anyway so I can probably find people to help fight.

I completed it solo as mage, i didn't even heal lol i just sat on the bushes and spammed meteor

 

Well as you are assassin you can spin attack to take his speed to get away. He will also get slower because he won't see you. That also gives you the opportunity to smoke bomb freeze him to set up a multihit. Then repeat the process while healing with pots. Tip: bring mana pots so spell spam works better
