SPOILER Age of the Leaves in the Wind

I have no idea how old they are, eg: some people are willing to swear Syndra is a granny over 60, Mora is an unc over 40, Sui, Rex, and Zeph's age as well as some people swear everyone in the Leaves aside from Syndra are young adults and some swear everyone aside from Mora and Syndra are minors.

Can someone please clarify for me thank you.

 

Yeah this was confusing to me too. It's unlikely Sui is a minor, since she talks about when she was fifteen like it was a while ago, Mora is a decade younger than Syndra, and I don't got a clue for the others.

 

I was wondering this as well. The only piece of information I noticed was that Sui says she joined the Leaves when she was 15. If we could figure out how long the Leaves have existed for, we might be able to estimate some ages.

I was also confused by Syndra and Elise's ages. They seem like they should be around the same age, but Syndra seems like she is in her 60's and is still very active, while Elise is extremely old and on the brink of dying of old age. Maybe Syndra's blessing slowed her aging or Elise's memory loss accelerated her aging or something?

My guess was that Syndra is ~60, Mora is ~30, Rex, Zeph and Sui are late teens - early 20's, with Sui being the youngest. I have no evidence for this though.

 

Elise is 50ish years old.

Mora is a decade younger than Syndra.

 

the only minors i can think of in fruma are the characters explicitly said to be children (i.e., the child in auburn and the one in aldwell)

 

Mora: I am grateful that the younger Leaves can still find joy here. Perhaps you might as well, given your... relative lack of history.

Syndra: Keep my children safe. They're all I have left.

There's other stuff as well but dialogue lines like these really make it confusing at times.

 

When is Elise stated to be ~50 years old, and when is it stated that Mora is a decade younger than Syndra? I either missed or forgot those details.

 

Okay more hints, I did Apotheosis and the queen calls them children, (not saying a lot as the queen is like a thousand years old), Syndra calls them "her" children, which really only means she has motherly feelings toward all of them.

I don't think Syndra would let actual minors go to war, but as a wise man once said, "Never too young to commit domestic terrorism".

 

If there was a page on the wiki for The Missing Piece, i'd put it here. She says it in dialogue.
For Mora, he says it in Echoes of Change:

Mora: She treats us as her own children, but she is only a decade older than I am! She would put herself through all the suffering in the world, if only to avoid letting us help where it is most needed!

 

To be fair the quality of life, safety, and health in the industrial district are all incredibly low, so I’d be surprised if the life expectancy there was anything close to what we have reached in real life. So elise being in her 50s and close to death honestly makes sense to me

 

"Children" isn't literal here, I thought it was pretty obvious it's just because she has a maternal caretaking role for the rest of the Leaves.
