World Adjusting The Assassin And Archer Classes

    Hello everyone! Before I start, I would like to say that I am quite new to this server, so everything I say may or may not be entirely accurate. All of these ideas are coming from my n00by mind, so with that in mind, I will go on to the point of this post. I think the Assassin and Archer classes need to be adjusted. With the adjustments I will be suggesting, they will be more realistic, contain more options for builds, and just be more fun to play!

    The Assassin class, in my eyes, is a really cool class, with many possibilities. You can turn invisible and out maneuver your foes, you can unleash a devastating spin attack, and catch enemies in a storm of multi-hit blows. However, what needs to be changed are the weapons available. Sure, assassins have historically put knives (pretty much the only weapon available to the Assassin class) to good use, but assassins use many more weapons than just knives, so I think that limiting that class to just those weapons just doesn't work out. Some of the other weapons assassins would generally use would be bows (the use of at least some kinds of bows would be a great addition to the class), short swords, etc. You get the idea.

    However, I do realize that the Assassin class is meant to be light and fast moving, so large bows might not be realistic, but smaller bows (and swords), would fit perfectly with the class! With the ability to use bows, the Assassin class would be much more versatile and hold more options. You could get close with Vanish, do a ton of damage, then run off and snipe at weak spots. You wouldn't have to change the class any other way, but adding the ability for assassins to use bows would be awesome!

    Moving on, we reach the Archer class. Now, when archers were used in battles, of course they would have bows, but when the enemy got to close to them to use their bow, archers would generally do one of two things. They would either move to a different spot, or they would pull out lightweight swords and short swords to defend themselves. Just like that example, I think that the Archer class would benefit with the ability to use knives and short swords. Again, besides that slight adjustment, the class wouldn't have to be changed any other way.

    Now, there are other classes, like the mage and warrior, but in my eyes, those two do not need to be changed at this moment. I could be wrong, as I am very new to this server, so feel free to comment on anything I said in this thread, so we can better these ideas and have a constructive discussion on the future of the Archer and Assassin classes.

    Finally, before I end this post, I am just going to say that I still have more ideas on how all of the classes can be improved, but I will leave those until another time.

    The assassin's long range spell is smoke bomb - technically a "utility" spell. Also assassins cannot use bows, because 1) archers use them and 2) it just doesn't fit into the lore.
    Also about swords - The neutral daggers are actually swords, the air daggers are swords, the water daggers are swords, the fire daggers are swords - the only two dagger models that aren't swords are the earth models and the thunder models (though the thunder models are claws).

    Each class should stay to it's own weapon. Also I have a feeling that this would be hard to code.

    Well, if the two classes are adjusted how you suggested, they'd be practically the same.
    Small melee and a ranged weapon.
    Assassin currently uses daggers, knives, cutlasses, knuckles, claws, and katanas.
    Archer currently uses short bows, longbows, and crossbows.

    When an Assassin must perform in long ranged combat, they tend to use the spell Smoke Bomb; it can be used up to a fair distance. Smoke Bomb slows enemies and does damage over time, allowing for the Assassin to sneak up and do more damage.
    When an Archer must perform in close ranged combat, they tend to use the spell Arrow Shield; it knocks enemies back and does a fairly high amount of damage (I've seen someone do around 12k with an Arrow Shield, and you have an average of 12k health in the late-game areas).

    An archer using a melee wep is basically arrow shield.

    Perhaps a "throwing knife" would make more sense rather than a bow for assassins

    You should experience the game and what every class has to offer before making any sort of class determinations. You have not even experienced what Assassin and Archer have at even the beginner level threshold. I know you said several times that you're new so don't discredit your ideas. Which I will not do, all ideas have their place. I just feel you need to get a stronger Grasp of Wynncraft as a whole. Before making any sort of class suggestions.
