Additional Powder Slots

    hey skye here. so i had an idea that i thought would be a good idea for wynncraft if it doesn't already exist (i don't know if it does or not i just started). also if the wynncraft team puts this in the game feel free to change something with the idea.

    Idea:
    additional powder slots.

    desc.:
    so how there are powder slots on weapons and gear i thought it would be a good idea if you could add more to it but you need a little orb to put it on that specific item.

    different type of powder slots:
    1 one powder slot for each elemental element.

    Fire bonus powder slot

    air bonus powder slot

    water bonus powder slot

    earth bonus powder slot

    thunder bonus powder slot

    requirements:

    have a certain amount of skill points in the elemental power to use it.

    Example: 15 points in defense to use the fire powder slot

    drops from:

    mobs. or maybe could be bought from a merchant

    No, for several reasons:
    • Absolution, Alkatraz, The Nothing etc. all have comparably high base damage without powder slots. Giving The Nothing especially that boon will BREAK the game.
    • On weapons with existing slots, such as Cataclysm, giving the weapon more damage would introduce power creep.
    • It doesn't have to be Mythics. Procrastination has high base damage and no powder slots, and it is balanced by the fact that it cannot have any powders on it. Giving it a Powder Slot of any kind with this much base damage on the weapon would put it on par with, if not make it better than, Hadal.
    • There are many Super Fast weapons (including edge cases like The Specialist). These weapons have seemingly low base damage, but their spell damage multiplier (which is based on attack speed itself) is very high, so adding more powder slots to those will cause significant (if not absurd) increases to damage output.

    It's not a reflection on you; just remember that every addition has some negative consequence. In this case, you weren't considering a particular handful of weapons which would get a disproportionate buff from this.

    You got an idea, an interesting idea. Yes, ot was not the best idea, but it was quite detailed, which is really good.

    Also, at least you didn't do "Hey, how about adding Necromancer class/housing/emerald pouch/p2w champion/ /op for me" :)

    Don't feel bad please.
    Powder slots of specifically picked out by the item team members to keep balancing.

    For example, there is an item named Pure in game, which does 500% spell damage or so. Adding even 1 powder slot to it will make it do insane amounts of damage. Theres alot of items like this.
