This would be an update that (in comparison to normal updates) wouldn't take a lot of effort. Just add a good, fun, PvP arena (or just add back nether, with some improvements). I've always been fascinated by the idea of PvP on wynn and have been looking forward to them putting more of a focus on it. It would be super fun and I'd love to play it. It should be incentivized though.
Here is a list of basic suggestions for things to incentivize playing on the PvP server:
    - A leaderboard with a possible prize for monthly/weekly holders (Including but not limited to bombs, crates, and possibly free ranks).
    - The winner of each round getting a crate to open that transfers to the main server (1st place gets a T4, 2nd gets a T3, and 3rd gets a T3).
    - Getting some sort of XP from each kill/win (proportional to their level).
    - The award of gems.
    - Cosmetic crates/cosmetics in general, being possible exclusive cosmetics specifically only for people who are successful in the PvP arena or just cosmetics in general.
These ideas are the only ones I came up with. Please don't disregard the idea of PvP entire if you don't agree with these incentives.

    How PvP would work:
    - Hopefully not how you would do this, but just the same as nether PvP use to be.
    - Giving everyone balanced classes to make it more skillful and allow players who aren't the maxed out to have a chance to win (this suggestion is my personal favorite and I hope you add it, paired with some sort of incentive)
    - Add game modes (FFA, TDM, CTF, etc)
Same deal with the last list of suggestions, these are only ones I came up with. Don't disregard the idea entirely if you don't find these fitting.

Another reason why you should add an improved version of PvP to Wynn, is to open a door to a whole new plethora of players, and bring back previous players. Please carefully consider this suggestion. I sincerely hope you will add something like this, thank you anyway.

pvp in wynncraft is very lackluster and dull, mostly due to the fact that the player side of combat really doesn't have much going for it. in my experience with the nether when it was up and duels, pvp was just spam your classes high damage ability then mobility spell away to regen mana. I feel hunted is going to work well as a pvp mode because enemies as well as fear/danger are going to be a factor in it. you always have the option to flee for your life, or fight your opponent in a scenario that benefits you; it's not so much for the hand to hand combat whenever you come across someone. because of this, I don't think pvp should be given its own updates unless they're about improving the core combat mechanics rather than adding new modes/giving out rewards for essentially being the best at clicking a lot

I'm pretty sure that giving crates to the winners violates the EULA. That being said, a reward for the winner would give people an incentive to go to the nether, which would be nice. The only other issue I see is that PvP is horribly unbalanced, and balancing it while keeping current builds would be difficult to say the least, and I doubt many people would want to play without their build. It worked fine before Gavel when build variety was the skill points you had, but now that melee builds and poison builds and the like are viable, people who use those won't want to switch. The only solution that seems obvious to me is re-adding pre-Gavel PvP, which would probably be a lot of work, and even then still needed some balance; mage was virtually useless and assassin was broken. But if they could find a way to make it work, I'd totally be in.
