acolyte changes

    hi, I have been playing shaman for quite a while and I truly enjoy its playstyle however Ii think it requires some changes my main issue being it lack of mobility during combat for acolyte archetype that for me has to most interesting concept.


    acolyte is a high risk archetype that actively losses hp to transfer it into damage. similar to fallen however what shaman is different is the mobility problem as every high risk archetype or class has mobility options.


    fallen and shadestepper both use their movement spells to doge both having ability to fly avoiding damage

    .arcanist has arcane speed and riftwalker has speed dilation and can use teleport to deal damage making more useful in combat compered to the rest.

    archer has windy feet that is just free walk speed for 2-3 min

    also both other shaman archetypes has movement opinions summoner has hummingbirds and ritualist has mask of heretic and yes acolyte has blood connection but acolyte playstyle requires them to stay in totems rage its a useful ability for movement but outside of combat its useful to quickly get within totems rage.

    lack of acolyte mobility for combat is even worst considering shaman low resistance and yes acolyte can heal itself but its still losing hp until blood poll gets full. this issue becomes more noticeable when using resonance as its ability forces user to use blood sorrow more often compered to aura taking away a lot of its healing. it is a fair trade as resonance deal a lot of damage but its still hard to play and more risky compared to other hight risk archetypes so i came up with two new abilities that might help with that.


    • energy transfer - for every 1% in your blood pool gain 0,5% walk speed

    • refreshing blood - after using blood sorrow gain 80% walk speed for 10 seconds
    (the values name of the abilities Ii present are just an example and can be changed for balancing purposes)

    i hope acolyte get a mobility option for combat making it high risk more useful especially for raids as lets be honest beside absolution, acolyte is not as useful for raids except nest of the grootslang and resonance is lacking in nexus of light and nameless anomaly because of its lack of mobility making it less useful for dynamic bosses like orphion and namelles especially since shaman doest have a lot of high dmg opinion (at least compared to other classes) i am aware that shaman is mostly for crowd control and i don't expect it to be as good as shadetepperi still hope it becomes more useful for damage during raids.
