Just an area on the forums where Admins can move suggestions that have gotten amazing feedback to. Basically the equivalent of saying "hey, this is a great suggestion and we plan on making it happen but it takes time".

Could even just be a thread sticky with links to all the great ideas that are confirmed...

Not a bad concept, but lemme tell ya, if we have a section on approved suggestions, it's going to be pretty small.

 

This seems slightly pointless, since suggestions nearly never get implemented directly. The purpose of this section is merely to inspire the content team, and to give everyone working on Wynn an idea of what the community wants.

This system is used for the bug reports section, because it is easy to determine whether an issue has been resolved or not. However, if a GM were to use a small part of someone's idea for their content, the chances of anyone ever noticing it are really tiny.

 

Then why the actual heck is the a whole legion of forums acolytes saying "add detail so staff don't have to do any work."

If you read my post, you might understand better. Let's for example suggest something like:

No one's going to get any new ideas out of this, and therefore will be a bad suggestion.

This suggestion already gives more than enough content for a good suggestion. Now, let's say a GM needs an ending for their quest, but have no idea what to do. As they stumble upon this thread, they find exactly what they need; inspiration.

"Ah, what a perfect idea! So, my quest NPC called xX_MeMeLoRd_Xx could do what Shrek did in this suggestion, and my quest would end with a boss fight with mobs handling these spells. 9001 health? I'll just nerf that to 1337 and we'll be fine!"

And this is why suggestions with a whole load of detail are important to the game. Yes, some suggestions are more direct too, such as item locks, but do you really expect the developers would create it the exact way it was suggested? No. Everything changes as it's being produced, due to balancing issues or limits of what can be done in minecraft.

 

Thing is, most of them assault both types, looking for exact stats, balancing, room dimensions, drops, etc.
Proving that ganon is in fact full of crap.

Maybe a featured suggestions thread / suggestion then for ones that are very good and detailed and could be a good example as to how your suggestions SHOULD be.
