What if I have a legit piece of the adventurer set... I did play when VIP town was available and I am looking to sell it...

 

You can still sell it. But not for a ridiculous price such as a stack of le. Ever since they were glitched, there are players that can get scammed with the recent circulation of them. So yeah, I just keep my set for collection now.

To -own- a broken Montefiore, with the accent in its name and the old "Defense" format? Yes, that's perfectly fine. Selling it or giving it to someone else, though, is illegal. It's fine to keep as a souvenir, but it has no value except sentimental.

 

Nether armor used to be purchasable from a merchant long before the 1.12 update. It's been removed, and for a long time the red leather ('nether') armor has been pretty valueable because it wasn't available anymore. However, since it was re-implemented (due to a bug without the red color though) it's not allowed to sell it above its actual value (a few emeraldblocks, at max.)

But the dyes have/had a glitch that lets scammers make fake ones, but they cant do that with diamond pieces right?

 

The point of the dyes adding value is that they change the appearance of the armour, while it has the exact same abilities as a non-dyed version. The same goes with the diamond or iron versions, or any armour that appears outside of its normal level range(like Leg of the Scared being leather at Lv 66). It's not worth any more because it looks different, because even when it's fixed they'll have the exact same abilities as before, which is what counts.

those armor sets have been worth so much for a rlly long yime and now them becoming trash is rlly sad btw i do own them

 

Lmao... there was a glitch and people were able to obtain them, rendering it impossible to determine whether a set was an original or not. Therefore, scams were bound to happen and someone would sell a nether set or something for 10 stacks when it would really be worth 10 eb. This is for the better good. I have clean adventure sets myself. But now I just keep them due to their sentimental value.
