We just needed time to get use to gavel. when i first got in i was lagging like crazy. im talking 5 or less FPS. than i messed with my settings and i get round 20 fps now. which is what i usually get.. (Please do not quote that.. -_- ik.. my computer sucks) Anyway. after i stopped lagging and did some of the quests i'm level 77.5 and have made i think 8+ le from quests. xP it just takes a little time to adjust :P

So many people are pissed about Gavel. Maybe their items are bad now, maybe they lost their items because they had too little space in their inventory, maybe they had a crappy set because they have no idea how to use the new item system. Well, here's what I'd say.

I don't see why people are so pissed. Maybe it's just that they don't understand how it works, that weapons and armor work differently. I've seen people still trying to get both the strongest weapon and the strongest armor. Everyone complaining about the reinstatement of fall damage is just a lazy person who wants the easy way out and isn't used to difficulty. But these people don't understand something, and that's this:
Wynncraft is not what it used to be.
It seems obvious, right? But a remarkably large amount of people don't understand that. They think it's the same old easy game. To quote something I said a while ago...
Oooh boy, I love fall damage. It makes the game harder. It makes it more challenging. I also love that nature damage is getting reinstated too; It was weird and unrealistic to take no lava or drowning damage after level 30. Archer feather falling now has a point; People may start wanting Feather Falling back; Wynncraft is gonna be a lot harder. Some of us will have a bad time. But I think that we'll take the challenge in stride. Frankly, I like the sound of being stuck on a cliffside with a pair of Orcs that are actually flanking you from the sides. I mean, seriously? How cool is that? No way out; You actually feel scared, like "oh shit i might die here" instead of just saying "No dealio, I'll just jump off". I absolutely love it and totally support it every step of the way.
What I'm saying above is that it's not the same old easy game. We're gonna have to adjust. It's become harder. It's become more challenging. And because of this, it's become more epic. More of a game. No longer the light, easygoing playstyle. It's time to get serious. The developers really have. They've gone far this time. Really far. And we have to catch up to them.
On top of that, the developers, all the admins, GMs, and Builders worked so incredibly hard on this to make the most game-changing update ever. They worked on it for over a year. And what kind of answer do they get to all their hard work? Complaints. Threads upon threads of complaints. I'd hate that. And I'm sure they do. So please keep your opinions to yourself! That's all I ask!

Today I went in to kill the CoW. With my fire/thunder knight. Yep. It was gonna go one way or the other. I actually had to prep instead of going in head first and killing it with ease. Getting the health and mana potions, putting on the correct armour for the job. And the fight was much harder than it used to be. I had to execute the potions and the spells at the right time. And when I killed it, with almost no health left, I had my first sense of euphoria in Wynncraft. I actually did something I didn't think I could do. I was deep breathing, and it was a good feeling, a sense of achievement. Something the old wynn would never have given me.

Besides all of the cool new gear, mobs, and quests, this is the part that really makes me hyped - WynnCraft is not a simple hack-and-slash game anymore, you have to think about what you are going to do, plan it, and work at it. This is an evolutionary change. When you accomplished something, it was a challenge, a challenge made by people that you get to interact with, and that you get to know. Your adrenaline goes up, because you can't munch on Doritos and drink a Mountain Dew, while you're fighting mobs or bosses. You need to focus. Pay attention, or die. And you love it, don't you?!

Personally, I like the new Wynncraft. The only problem I had starting off was being forced to use level 44 daggers at level 61 due to squid dagger needing INT now, but other than that I really like the new Wynncraft.

The most complaints I have seen is that people are unable to kill things in ONE HIT! I mean really, come on, do you even actual RPG's.
Anyway, a lot of things you actually CAN kill in one hit if they are weak against the element you are using. (Ex. My Assassin is able to One Hit Kill some mobs that are weak to Thunder when I use Chakram + Multihit or Spin Attack.)
