”A warlock?” He suddenly sounds pretty serious, ”What kind of creature did you make a pact with?”

”Oh, at least it’s a Celestial and not some mysko entity.”
He is done making the drink and leads you to a living room with a sofa and a low table. Directly in front of the sofa is an open fireplace. Above it hangs what looks like a cloak with a feather pattern. A pair of dusty black boots are beside the fireplace.
There’s also a bookshelf and a glass cage containing various exotic-looking items.

 

I look at the items and ask "what are those?"

 

”Relics from my... travels. Have a drink.”

 

I take a sip of the drink "do you want some coconuts?"

 

How to open a conversation:

”Uh, sure. We do not get much coconuts up here. Give some to Karla as well, will you?”
The drink tastes thick but good, like a mix between milk and some herb drink.
Oh also above the feather cloak is a wooden staff.

The god didn’t want your coconuts.

 

But it did start a conversation

I give karla 4 coconuts and say "I have to keep some for myself will this be enough?"

 

Karla: ”Sure!”

 

I turn to Karla's father and ask "so what kind of spellcaster are you?"

 

”... A Wizard, but I don’t use magic very much anymore. Mostly when I need to light a fire or when Karla asks for it. Karla is a Sorcerer, that’s why she has trouble controlling her magic.”

 

"How powerful are your spells?"

 

”Depends. I have had a lot of time to perfect my spellcasting. But if you are going to ask me to come with you on some important adventure, I am staying with Karla.”

 

"Oh no I can see that you're busy. You see I also have a spell book of sorts" I pull out the book of shadows "but only ritual spells can be written in it, so I just wanted to know what kind of spells you know"

 

”A... book of shadows... yes, let me get my spellbook.”
He eyes the book carefully as he walks past you. A few seconds later he returns with a glossy black/purple book set with a moonstone.
