You can't quite tell. But a wave from all directions and an ominous figure in the clouds seem unnatural

 

"Oh... Cthulu probably had a part in the wave, or some great evil one, which is probably Cthulu. Can cause thunder storms, I don't see how he could make a wave that could kill them and bring them back as zombies."

 

Boindil to the zombie: 'Are there any evil ones within the city? Or necromancers?"

You hear a chorus of howls, seeming to come from inside the towers. Not at the top, but inside.

At the howls, the zombies all snap their heads toward the three towers. They crouch down, sharp nails at the ready, teeth dripping with orange saliva.

’Evening grows ever closer’ doesn’t mean it’s evening. The sun is moving across the sky as it does. It’s just a fancy description.

 

I was just asking cause I normally only see thag phrase used when the sky darkens or the light recedes or some other indication of a time skip. Just didn't expect it to be used to describe the passing of a few minutes.
But my English can be improved on, so this is good to know. :L

You can’t recall names.

There’s samd spilling in through the doorway. There’s smashed ceramics, an old bed, a desk that looks like it will fall apart soon and a mirror
