Aberration Apocalypse (d&d 5e Campaign) 6/6 Players

Well thing is if we can we all should row and run away. The vengeance has 5 cannons and even if they only have enough crew to operate two they still have double the firepower. A battle would favour them strongly.

 

I want to do that to but they have initiative so can we? Then if the wind is helping us, we probably could. Otherwise, the Vengeance is faster.

 

I'll probably do separate attacks until the boat gets hit, which is when I'll switch to repairs. (Assuming that's possible.)

On another note, would a firebolt do any form of damage to the enemy ship if it hits said ship?

 

We are fighting against a huge fucking ship. Stop looking at your cantrips.

 

I know, i know, but I'll simply have to use what I have. Besides, it may or may not do something to the other ship, so it doesn't hurt to ask.

I suppose I can work as a third person on the cannons until repairs are needed, at which point I'll work on that.

It's in fucking shambles already, it'll be hard to light it and they have 10x as many cannons

 

Although if we light the gunpowder for their cannons....

 

By the time we get in range for that spell, how long will we be in cannon firing distance? .-.

Running away would still probably be the best chance though yeah, it's foggy so we can easily lose them.

Cannon 1: 1+2=3 The cannonball flies high over your heads
Cannon 2: 8+2=10 The ball soars slightly closer.
Cannon 3: 15+2=17
Damage: 30...
The cannonball goes straight through the hull, but not low enough for you to start taking in water.
Jeez this was alot of damage

 

Would that 17 have counted as an attack against me?

It’s your turn, but it takes alot of actions (3) to fully load a cannon, 1 to load, 1 to aim, and 1 to shoot. But if you’re three people doing it, you could do it in one turn, ket’s say.
