Sure, he’s charmed. (Why does this feat do this? Why couldn’t it just give a +2 or so bonus to charisma checks?)

It's a good feat, I even get expertise in persuasion. And the charmed condition isn't super broken

Only as long as he remains within 60ft of them, otherwise it wears off in a minute. Also enemies usually won't talk for a minute I'd guess...
