Elf Noble: "So, who are you and where do you come from, anyway?"
He has the classic disgusted self-centered bish voice.

"Not all of them, of course. But most are, so I'm assuming this one is as well."

"assuming just like the people of this town assume Larath is evil"

 

"I am Kanaglath! I come from mountain island! I protect group for money!"

"There's a difference between Tieflings and demons. Tieflings are just poor souls, cursed by demons, too."

The elf noble whispers something under his breath.
You get an amused look from the handsome 'human'.
The dwarves chuckle a bit.
One of the two humans is too into her food, and the other has struck up a conversation with Ghothor.

 

I turn to Calm "Why did your master make you?"

 

What gives away the facy that he's a noble?

"..."

Gjothor is... who?

 

Calm: "Mine lord made me because he needed something reasonable to speak with. Fury, his first creation, was not a talker. Vain was insufferable. Scorn was not a talker either. So mine lord decided to make me, and gave me the virtue: calm."

The elf sniffs.
Ghothor is the mayor.

 

"Why did he start making gargoyles in the first place?"

 

Calm: "The reason he made Fury was to help him in battle. But afterwards, he just wanted to experiment."

 

"Would you say he's by society standards good or evil?"

 

"Why are you laughing!?"

 

Calm: "I would say that at this point in time he would be rather vengeful."

Extreme beard dwarf: "It's nothing."

 

"What is funny about nothing?"

 

"But before he was imprisoned?"

 

Btw I don't just want to screw over the party. I find it kind of annoying that this comes forward in a meeting with important nobles but one of the most important traits for goliaths is their honour.

 

The elf rolls his eyes.
Red-haired dwarf: "You just seem like such a spirited fellow. It's been long since we've met one quite as spirited as you."
Elf: "!!!"

Calm: "He would mostly keep to himself in his abode, but when he was in a bad mood he would take us out to ravage a village or so. You would probably consider him evil. I can of course not say so, since he is the reason I exist in the first place."

I understand that

 

"So you only serve him because he made you?"

 

Calm: "Gargoyles are naturally inclined to serve our creator. But it was a way to release unnecessary emotions like anger."
