but if i have to do it again... anyways the portal to the "nether" was opened 1k years ago and than the corruption started . while we dont know when the portal was "created" it could possibly be at the exact time dern "combined" with wynn while gavel was on the other side which created a portal to a realm of corruption or something like that

yes it does.... the ancients moved to dernel jungle from dern

 

I'm pretty sure some staff, maybe Grian, maybe a builder or GM, stated a long while ago Dernel Jungle is not Dern, and has no relation to Dern.
If these "ancients" moved from Dern to Dernel Jungle then they simply named it after their homeland/previous home.

Just because a spanish man moves to America does not mean America is a spanish country now.

i never said dern is related to dernel jungle .. never, i said its probably located close to it since the ancients went from dern to wynn and they ended up in dernel jungle and not anywhere else in that decently big province

 

Somewhere you mentioned Dernel Jungle being part of Dern or starting in Dern if it was a living creature.

i was talking about the outside part of the map
from the mountains near dernel jungle around the abandond mines and ends somewhere near gavel

 

If Dern were a living creature... maybe it's Naragath and the cultists in Eye of the Storm were trying to open a portal to Dern? Maybe the Pit of Despair is a portal to Dern.
Just a thought.
