So, I'm a Destiny player and I love dungeons and raids in RPG/MMO games. So I was thinking maybe Wynncraft could do a similar style like WoW or Destiny. Tackle a raid with you and 5 friends or solo queue and find a pre-made team. There would be puzzles and parkour and a final boss and a level 80+ requirement.

Puzzles like delivering specific mob drops to a hopper and trying to decipher which hopper is which or something along those lines. The final boss could have its own mechanics so it's not just a "spam click" fest. I think this could add a great deal of teamwork to Wynncraft and really open some boundaries for it, and even have raids revolve around the theme of an update. There would even be specific raid loot and effects so people know you've done the raid, as well.

It sounds like a cool idea to me, and I think this could really benefit the community, what do you all think?

Edit: I should've mentioned that the puzzles and boss mechanics would require teammate communication.

this would just be normal dungeons but with queues, it seems super unnecessary

I don't think so. From what I've experienced so far, dungeons are pretty easy and don't take too long and the gear isn't acquired from a completion, while this would be a little longer of an activity, and the rewards would be great for completion.

dungeons actually do give gear from completion, you just have a choice of what to buy. I think you should be suggesting longer and harder dungeons, there's no reason to call longer and harder dungeons "raids" and just give them a queue

I meant to say "on completion" by killing the boss, and he'll drop a piece of loot or two and there'll be a shop where they'd sell raid gear for the tokens you'd get from completing the encounters. A longer and harder dungeon + some puzzles mini bosses would be so much fun.

so by raids you mean longer harder dungeons with mandatory queues and bosses which drop gear for no reason?

Not for no reason. The boss would drop a random piece of gear and each encounter completion like a puzzle solved or something would give you currency for the shop from after the raid. Like the Leviathan raid from Destiny 2. Each encounter you completed would give you one random piece of gear, and a set amount of tokens to use to purchase raid gear at the vendor for the raid.

    Basically dungeons, but bigger, better.

Would be a long dream but nice if we had WOW-like dungeon raids.

Would make the guilds have more to do then just guild wars.

I don't see the point of random gear then, it's not really a valuable part of the suggestion and wouldn't change much if it existed or did not

also as stormking said most of these things basically exist, you're just pushing for them to be harder and longer
(examples being puzzles, bosses with their own mechanics, and multiplayer dungeons)

I don't think the idea of puzzles and bosses with mechanics and a matchmaking sounds too bad for the server. It'd maybe give some guilds some more things to do as well.

no one said it sounds bad, we're saying they already exist in quite literally every dungeon, a lot of quests too

I haven't seen a dungeon (so far, I'm only lvl 32) that requires your team to communicate for puzzles and work together to defeat a boss with a specific set of mechanics

No no, that was my bad. I should've said that, haha. I was thinking just you and your 5 mates communicate and solve puzzles and learn how to defeat the boss together.

Non-linear dungeons that take longer, and are challenging enough to require multiple people.

    Enough said.

and yeah, I agree. The raids in Destiny are some of the most fun I've ever had, and I'd love something like that in Wynn

I've been thinking about a very hard endgame dungeon that can only be realistically completed with at least 4 people. And I don't mean that good players can solo this dungeon, I mean that you'll need a coordinated party if you don't want to instantly die at the start. It would be a great reason for people to work together that isn't "you literally need 3 people to open this door even though you COULD just solo Bob", since you could access it on your own if you wanted to, but it would be like doing the corrupted ice barrows dungeon at level 50.

So yeah to me it'd just seem really cool to have a big endgame thing that actually requires multiple people to beat, unlike li

I don't see how you could make a challenge so hard to do solo but be better with multiplayer without actually making it impossible to win without others

That's exactly what I mean. It shouldn't be possible to do solo or it'd just be another Legendary Island. The reason you're allowed to enter the dungeon alone is to teach you that you will be needing some friends to help you. In contrast with most MMO's, Wynncraft doesn't really let the players interact with each other as much. Every single quest except Bob and ??? can be done solo. And of those quests none of them require actual coordination. I'm just thinking it would be really awesome if there was a lategame dungeon that would require just that: actual coordination between multiple people.
