so here's an explanation:

K so say I want to mass produce Captain America's shield, but it's not WWII anymore, so Vibranium costs more than it did 76 years ago.

yeah I have a hard time believing that you made this up. also gavel caused inflation (of the first kind) but it could also be of the 2nd kind b/c you can only get mythics at a higher level, costing you time. but tbh who actually understands this stuff, I looked it up. (kindof)

It truly varies,since vibranium is only known to some enlightened individuals.The prices could tectnically plummet as a result of higher supply (76 years for the wakandians to mine it) and low demand(not many individuals are enlightened with the knowledge of it's existence).Therefore,the prices would most likely drop unless the Wakandans are preparing a highly tecnologically advanced machine or object of greater proportions completely created with vibranium.

Thirdly this is just a thread complaining about the economy. And to support the economy, Mythics have a 1 in a million chance to drop. White horses are actually worth 2 stacks and overpriced items are made overpriced for the demand of them. Ex: max ws stratiformis or GoH with max exp bonus.

Fourth and finally, this thread will not now or ever change the economy at all.

I'm not thinking about that... I'm going to say (for the sake of simplicity) that everyone knows about vibranium (which is a very large assumption, considering that in the Marvel world, a select few know about it, and in the real world, only so many people have read the comics and/or watched the movies.).. yeah assumptions!! xD

And yes,if considering that everyone knows lf its existence,it would definately be much more pricey than 76 years ago.

Average inflations are hoped to increase general prices by 2-3% every year, however inflations affect wages too.

The main concern is whether the inflations in prices SURPASS your increase in wages.

And no, events would not affect inflation unless the event required a GREAT amount of the material, causing it to have dramatically increased prices.

As seen though,the only ever vibranium product shown in Marvel's WWII is Captain America's Shield.

 

I wonder why they don't make other things out of Vibranium. I mean, maybe because theoretically the price has gone up, but what if they wanted to make more stuff back in WWII?? Was it already so amazingly expensive? If so, then why "waste" it on some experimental stuff - TBH I don't really remember if they had complete faith in 'Cap... Anyway the point is if it's already so amazingly expensive, then why "waste" it on something not guaranteed to work??

Also, Vibranium seems pretty cool, if we can afford a few billion dollars to be in debt then why not make something out of an extremely expensive metal?? *sarcasm*

 

The reason is:The Wakandans don't like outsiders,they are more obsessed with protecting their country than being a wholesale company.

Cap's Shield,I believe was actually a gift in the comics, but the movies however, I do not understand.Maybe they were reluctant to purchase larger quantities since it was untested?

 

Stuff in the military should be tested, end of story.
But I understand - if Cap's shield costs.. let's say 2.6 BILLION dollars, then if they make 2 (1 for testing, and the 2nd after the testing one, to be used by Cap) that would cost the USA 5.2 billion dollars. Which is a LOT OF MONEY (for just 2 shields, relatively speaking.. ish). So, in that case it's understandable why they didn't want to build two shields.

Y'know, I bet people are wondering how a thread explaining inflation became a discussion about Cap's shield.
