"What an arrogant piece of . . ." the guy trails off. "You know what, I'm just gonna kill you. Bye." Suddenly, you feel a burning sensation on your chest. You look down to see a burning rune cast upon your body slowly and painfully burning you away. What now?"

"Yeah I don't believe you but whatever," the guy mutters. Then he sighs before saying, "I belong to a group called the Amzaedus. I was given orders to uh . . . kidnap you or something and bring you to this location, I don't exactly know why, I was never told. My boss just told me to do it so I followed," the guy shrugs.

Ugh, I've been waiting for @MistaTigger to respond to at least the convo Arch and Kayla are having but he didn't . . .

Using True Sight, you see once again another blue aura surroudning him. You also see a kind of gloomy light green light in his body (Light Green = Good with Potential). Then you move on to history. You're able to catch snippets of these uh . . . savage citizens creating chaos for no apparent reason and another scene of people who look similar to Tigger casting a sort of magical spell you've never seen before and creating this rift thing? Anyway, that's all you can get before Noctua sees what you're doing and says, "Hey, couldn't you be like, less suspicious? If I turned around to see some dude wearing sunglasses at midnight staring straight at me, I would instantly leave the room."

Kayla flinches when you say that phrase. Then she recollects herself and murmurs, "Yes . . . I've heard of that term . . ."

 

azura quick question before i get out of this situation, for shards

1. Can I only use ones I've practiced with?

2. Can I only use shards I've seen and used?

 

You can use Shard from Tier 1 - 3 (shit i havent added all the t3s yet).

Tier 4 + shards require you to know and see the shard plus experience to use so right now, you only have Tier 1 - 3 shards to your disposal

 

"Well then this should be easy to explain," I say removing all sympathy from my voice recalling my own past. "I was simply giving what all my enemies deserve. And I was avenging all of my friends who've died and getting revenge for my own sake. I was letting the dead bury the dead," I pause. "Now why can't you do the same? "What are you talking about?" I turn off True Sight. There's no room room to leave."

I look over to Aquila and then Kayla after hearing where the conversation went. Then I go over to Noctua.
"Hey, shouldn't you, um... comfort your girlfriend or something?" (Whisper this whike motioning towards Aquila)

Kayla stares at you . . . frozen. "What . . . the hell . . . have you gone through to be able to kill just so . . . easily?"

"To be honest, I don't think my humor or anything really would help her right now," Noctua says. "She's better off left alone whenever she's like this."

 

I shrug.
"Were we both just... tossed to the side?"

"I feel like I should be helping but... I don't think I can... Hey, can you tell me what you angels have to deal with?"

 

"Me? I'm just a guy that was on the streets and survived. Survived through beating, outwitting, and killing all my enemies. I'm a rum knife wielder. And I survived because I knew what I was doing, I kept secrets, I trusted the right people. You're lucky to be surrounded by all these people and maybe even some of your gifted friends. "I hope this works..." I whisper to myself and at that second I shoot myself in the chest where the fire rune was with an Ice Strike thingy. Though its weaker and only meant to cool me down to the point where I can focus on fighting without the burning

"Just . . . who . . . are you?" Kayla's voice is much more weaker now and soft. It seems that her questions are getting quite more redundant and she gets more broken after each of your answers . . . maybe altering the subject (if you have even the slightest sympathy) should work.

"Oh us angels? If your a 'Guardian Angel,' you basically do what Aquila does but like more secretly. Aquila crosses so many different lines on how she guards her uh . . . whatever that term is and how she interacts with the normal world. The rest of us angels basically fight uh . . . more divine matters like corruption and the rest of that stuff. That's like the very basics of it though," Noctua finishes not elaborating anymore.

Why didn't you just use the "dump shard" on yourself . . . literally dumps water on your target.

That . . . kinda works. It sorta deals with the rune somewhat easing the burn. The rune is still there though but less effective as it was before. The guy is just casually sitting on a nearby bench watching you deal with the rune. What now?

You get to your destination in roughly 20-30 minutes and view the Statue of Liberty. The top half of the Statue of Liberty has been practically crushed and destroyed and you can see some of the large chunks of debris on the ground. You can also see some huge cracks running through the bottom half of the Statue. However . . . there's no sign of the rock that hit the Statue of Liberty . . . What now?

A strange phenomenon in New York is that, despite being caught in traffic the entire way, one reaches destinations impossibly quickly.
It's a well-documented oddity, but the populace (with the exception of Order Sirius of the M.S.A.A, which has a small and underfunded research team on the subject) gave up on explaining it ages ago, and just live with it.
Unbeknownst to everybody, an extremely powerful mage will gain a spell like this through unknown but likely infuriatingly confusing shennanigans in roughly 14 years, and, realizing that they must fulfill a time loop, cast it on the entirety of the metro area retroactively.

I subtly (or at least what I pass for subtly, which probably isn't very good) eye anyone around me, looking for anyone that fulfills the following criteria:

• Unnatural calmness
• Possession of weapons
• Is also eying the crowd
• Terrible fashion sense
