Niko: Hmm... tell me more. Who’s the one who tipped you guys off? And how many more of your people are in the facility?

 

"Let us not jump to conclusions gentlemen! Dr, Mr. Lopez, explain. Magic? Your boss? You obviously have a story to tell. Tell it. And Cuffs, Cander, explain yourselves and origins as well."

“I’ll explain myself after I hear an explanation from these two,” I gesture at Mr. Lopez and Dr. Lakrow while making eye contact with Cander. “I’ve seen situations like these way too often and guess what? The rich and higher ups are always the guilty ones.”

Somehow, Dr. Lakrow and Mr. Lopez maintain their chill after your rounds of insults. Then she says pointedly, “Are you done?”

@MistaTigger sees this too and can reply.

 

I pause before saying “I’m done.” I keep my hand to the amulet still.

 

I'm beginning to feel uneasy around Cuffs. Something happened in is past, and it's something he seems willing to fight about. I put my guard up, and my suit hightens my senses. I ready for anything.

 

Okay, ez. 3 Sundaes Ordered with thankfully no interruptions from Noctua. Aquila has finally stopped giving you a death glare but instead has fixed a soft gaze onto the ground.

"Five people only! And the guy who tipped us off never said their name. I swear!" the man says.

Dr. Lakrow sighs before saying, "Do you believe in magic?" directed towards Cuffs and Cander this time. It's like a . . . streetlord challenge wtf.

 

I hesitate looking at Dr. Lakrow maintaining my street face before saying, "Yes . . . I do."

 

I grin. My hunch was correct. He- no they, would make dangerous enemies. I watch the hand on his chest wearily, yet excitedly. If I can manage to clear up his prejudice, he would make a great ally.

 

I go to get something to tie him up with so that I can ask him where they’re from later.

 

I sit back down.
I take a bite out of my cheesecake and then put it down. "I just realized something I forgot to ask..." I begin to say. (Dramatic Pause for Effect) "But did any of you want something other than a sundae?" I then turn to Aquila. "Um... should I go get a cake or something for you?"

 

"Well i can't remember the last time i've been in an arcade so why not check it out.''

"Then you surely have experience in the magic world," Dr. Lakrow continues. "What type of magic user are you?"

This is directed at both of you (well all three including Cander)

Cliche arcade with lottery booths, the hockey tables, some pool tables, and other cliche arcade games such as Initial D, Pacman, etc.

Yeah after tieing the guy to a chair, he wakes up groggily and notices his current predicament. "What happened?" the guy yells. Then he remembers the pain in his leg (iirc) and yelps in pain. Wat now?

Aquila just turns her gaze towards you but this time it's a soft questioning gaze as if wondering what motivates you to say the words that come out of your mouth. Then she sighs, "I'll pass again."

 

"Do you by any chance play pool?"

 

"I'm a Sword Weapon Master. My suit is magically enforced, and I wield a magical sword and shield. . . . . . but I'm not from this.....realm..."

 

"You sure? I strongly recommend the strawberry cheesecake. If you don't like it, I wouldn't mind an extra serving."
"This goes for you Kayla. And Noctua, go get your own cake."
I glance at Kayla to see how she's doing with this sudden change in topic.

Cander looks at Cuffs the moment you say, “but I’m not from this realm.”

Ok Arch, you respond now lol

“It’s been a while aye,” Chaz says eyeing the pool table. “I might’ve forgotten some rules.”

“What? Not fair!” Noctua complains jokingly. Kayla however seems to be in a deep train of thought ignoring everyone right now. What now?

 

I reach a over to Kayla and put my hands on her shoulder.
"Kayla, look at me. I have something very serious to tell you." (Another dramatic pause) "If you don't eat the cakes I'm getting, Aquila will eat two. And that's not going to be very good for her. So you gotta make sure she keeps her slim figure."

 

I try to observe Tigger now while trying to hide my surprise and feeding more power to my amulet. Then I say without going in full depth at all, “Me and Cander are wizards.” I hope Cander plays along.....
