“AFUXJUPING SCYTHE? ALL THESE GODSDAMNED EDGELORDS!” Althea nearly screams as she dives to the side, seeming very genuinely frustrated. “WHO THE FUXSK USES A SCYTHE IT’S 2018!” She’d unleash one hand of energy in a concentrated laser like beam towards the figure mid-dive.

 

That I can confirm he is.

 

Trust me, shooting down this enchanted arrow when it's at even half power isn't a good idea.

Worst part is that this guy won't fall unconscious doing it unlike Kayla.

I have actual reasons why.

Kayla has the talisman on currently getting ready to Marksman the f out of everyone and Aquila is still at the Natura Sanctus... getting bed arrested.

The scene changes from the street to um... a pitch black sight of nothing... Great. You don't even get any thought processes. Wtf. What now?

The knife doesn't budge at all when you try to turn it.

"How about you drop the shard and break it."

Yeah that's a really hard shot to pull off.

You miss and the crow doesn't even seem fazed.

"Crows symbolize death you know."

A dove flies and lands next to the crow.

"And doves symbolize love."

One of the roots thrust abruptly quickly towards you.

What now?

"You're blind if you think I'm a lady."

This dude apparently either has no sense of humor or doesn't give a shit about your joke.

 

"How about you drop the knife and skidaddle out of here, we'd all be happy." I don't let go of the knife.

 

He ducks out of the way, rolling, and takes a shot at the shady figure again. At the same time, he shoots a burst of flames at the crow.

 

"Oh right it's 2018, what do you sexually identify as?"

 

Oh dear.

The figure vanishes and reappears elsewhere... a couple yards away from where he last was.

The Scythe shimmers again and this time, a grey circle with several symbols and words on it surrounds him on the floor.

Then the Scythe shimmers turning into two pure grey and black knives, one in each hand.

"Hand it over."

What now?

"I wouldn't be happy actually. I need the shard."

It goes straight through him and there's no evident damage dealt.

The crow and dove fly away before landing on another streetlight.

"Enough child's play. Hand it over."

Another root flies towards you.

What now?

A wave of black wind hits you cold and sends you flying back.

"Hand it over."

"Hand what over?"

 

“Black knives aren’t any less edgy. See- look here- silver.” Althea holds the dagger up. “It’s a pretty color, right?” She’d, faster than could be processed, tilt the dagger so the sun would shine directly off of it and, again, concentrate a beam of light towards the figure.

 

"And I was given this, I can't give gifts away." I give him a condescenting look in the darkness. "I hope you know that. Basic etiquette. Even I know it, so you get the picture. Very very basic."

 

"What, getting annoyed that I'm not doing as you say?"

"I'm sorry, that's just the outlaw side in me."

He keeps ducking away from the roots.

 

"Alright in that case."
Smoke surrounds Yazu and Fera and they teleport away back to Madison Square Park.

The first and second roots that thrust toward you (which are now behind you) turn around and come back for you while more roots thrust forward at you.

Instead of actually going for you, the first and second roots go around you planning to tie and wrap you down in roots.

Wot now?

The teleport fails and there's a hieroglyph over your heads...

Fera's rings also disappear...

"Maybe you should reconsider your options." the first man says.

What now?

 

That would have been good to know. Just do nothing then I guess whew.
