Back in the dorm. How lame.
I stumble a bit before I discreetly pocket the shard in a secured pocket with a zipper. (i'll prolly lose it so cant be too safe)
I bring the hairpin sword out, along with the shield. "Who are you? What are you doing in my room? Where is everyone else?!"

 

"Who I am is not important."

The dude's voice is hella deep and low.

"Now give me the shard."

Althea flits her gaze over the ruined house before focusing on the man. “So, what is it? If you’re looking to torment me, you can try again. I’m over it.” Her voice quavers at conclusion.

 

I look for a car, or the toys in the yard that I know my sister used to play with.
Wait.
It's been quite a few years.
Does she still play outside?
Are they- doing okay?
Will they... even recognize me?
I move to go knock on the door.

I stop infront of the door right before knocking (my hand is raised).
I lower my hand.

"I'm here for the shard," the man says simply. His voice is hella deep and low.

As you take a couple of steps, the shady figure walks up to you and puts a hand up stopping you. You oddly can't see anything about them other than the fact that they're wearing a suit... They're whole body just seems to be well.... black.... shadowed... faded.

"Hand over the shard," the man says. His voice is hella deep and low.

I sigh.

“And I’m here because I got teleported. Again. What do you want with it?” Althea rolls her finger along the pommel of her dagger, looking rather on edge.

I put on my best confused look and slightly lower my weapons, yet highten my guard. "What shard?" I ask, trying to keep my voice steady.

Thomas keeps his hand closed and moves it into his pocket, leaving the shard in there.

He turns back and faces the shady looking person.
"I don't like it when people stare at me, you know!"
