Ezinth shakes his head. "I just used both the long distance teleport and the regular teleportation shards. We're walking."

He continues to follow the candles.

"Yeah and we can help improve your strategizing skills by playing this chess variant!" Leo exclaims.

"Leo, they're gonna be here in five minutes... You can't play a chess game in five minutes," Naomi argues.

"I didn't say we had to finish the game..." Leo shrugs.

I walk even though I don't really want to

 

I take a step towards Naomi's side. "Where's the fun in chess if we don't finish it? By the looks of it, we could very well end in a draw with no one killing anything, and no one likes draws."
"I feel like you have an obsession with chess, my dude."

 

Leo sighs. "I have an obsession with chess because it distracts me from the actual world." He says it only loud enough so that you can hear.

After going through a series of hallways and turns, you reach the jail cell area.

Ezinth moans. "I'm a freaking idiot. Who has the jail cell keys?"

The two elementalists snicker. That earns them a dump shard from Ezinth.

I tap his shoulder. "Brighten up man. We might kidnap someone today! Isn't it exciting?" I give my best attempt for an enticing smile.

 

"Give me a second" I call Dr.Lakrow again

 

"I don't have them. Maybe ask around a bit?"

 

Leo shrugs. "Maybe..."

You receive no response this time.

"I'm gonna contact Jay," Ezinth says. He fishes out his phone from his pocket and pushes on the contact...

However, no response comes.

Ezinth presses the contact again.

No response.

Ezinth grumbles. "Is his phone like dead or something? Why won't he pick up? Ughh."

I give him two understanding tap in the cheeks, then turn around and clap once.
"So, the plan is to shoot at something and explode some magical fireworks, right?"

 

"Basically..." Naomi answers.

I lean towards the tv to see what's going on "God bless Bending Cucumber. He's such a good actor."
Turning back to the two, I take out my spear if it wasn't already being held. "So, let's get ready? Just in case?"

 

"Maybe no connection? I don't know where we are and something might jam the signal."

"Yeah no connection." I turn to the two guys that we ment to put in jail "Okay people I give you two options. First you stand here patiently while I go try to find someone or get a connection, or I send you to the afterlife. Choose"

"Halt!" Leo abruptly yells. That makes Naomi jerk up like a cat, before getting back her composure.

"What?" Naomi turns around frustratedly.

Leo smirks. "Where are we gonna do the mugging?"

Naomi shrugs. "I don't know.. the street?"

"I choose the 3rd option," the fire elementalist says dumbly. The air elementalist kicks him in the leg but he ignores it. "How about we get a Shardaic Mage to t p use out of here?"
