According to the wiki page on cluckles, it does state it is implied that the traveler was Bob. And everyone does kind of state how terrifing the beast is. If only one person ever was able to steal an egg from the beast, it's Bob.

But I see what you are saying. Once again, this is going off of common belief. Common belief is that cluckles is the cockatrice's child, but common belief has been shown to be wrong several times

Being a theorist and all, I have managed to collect a rather large amount of info on the subject. However I re-read all the lores recently and found some interesting facts. Some of these do not fit in with jpm's thread, so I decided to make my own.

Gather round all, and let me tell you the truth behind a character subject to a multitude of scepticism and stories, none of which are the full, in depth tale of the remarkable life of Bob, master of the magical arts.

10 years after the miners of Nemract wrought the nether curse upon the Wynn province, Ragni suffered one of the largest raids ever recorded on western soil, although the famous forts of Ragni and Troms were deemed impenetrable, this was unfortunately not the case when seas of monsters brought by the curse came knocking on the front gate. Being so early in the cursed war, Ragni’s army numbers were high and many a men laid down their lives to protect the families within the walls. However, the sheer numbers pressed against the door broke the hinges and the large gate fell into the bridge, and the largest horde recorded entered the city. Many of the residents were slaughtered, maimed or infected by the onslaught of creatures, those able to run hid in the sewers, a vast series of tunnels that run out of the city, and into the foulest place the humans could create, their prison. The idea was to combine two of the most horrible things, the untreated sewage, and the dark cells containing Wynns worst criminals, to add to their suffering. It really was a horrid place, but in a time like this, it was the safest place to be, and the women and children sought refuge in its stench. During the fight, a woman who never said her name, nor where she had come from (she certainly wasn’t one of Ragni’s own) gave birth to a baby boy on the cold floors of the sewer. Though the women accompanying her did all they could, the unknown woman did not survive the childbirth. The horde lasted 6 days and the sewer folk did not know if the baby would make it, the conditions were so rotten.

Against all the odds, the child made it, suffering no more but a smudge of dirt across his cheek, to everyone’s amazement, he was adopted by Ragni’s poorest resident, a single mother named Momo. He worked in a local bakery carrying bread and cake into the palace, taking whatever he could get away with. Despite his mother being poor, she was none the less intelligent, and taught the child, who she named Robert, everything she knew, taught him to read, write and to a degree, to fight. Robert was never a popular lad, always treated differently, his skin was a shade of grey unnatural to those of Ragni, who have always been fair skinned, as such he didn’t have many friends and wasn’t held particularly well among the older citizens either. When he was 12 years old, a horde found its way into the city once more, like it did just over a decade before, although far smaller than its predecessor, it was none the less a threat as Ragni’s army was so wounded from the last encounter, the beacons were not lit from the scouts, and caught the entire city by surprise, not Robert though, he always keeps a knife he stole from the butchers in his belt to protect the ones he loves. Being so poor, Momos shack was on the outskirts of Ragni and was one of the first to get hit, Robert ran for the house, finding it empty, but hearing a gasping from below. Entering the cellar, he found his mother lying bleeding beside a recently stabbed creature. He went to her aid, knowing it would be in vain. She simply nodded at him, they had made an agreement when Robert was 8 years old that if she ever became infected she wanted him to end her life, rather than endure the gruesome prolonged infection that had no cure. She placed in his hands a piece of parchment with a crude blood stained drawing of 4 areas each with a strange name under it he hadn’t heard of, she then pointed toward a chest in the corner that had always been locked before she grabbed his hand holding the butchers knife, to which she forced him to uphold his end of the agreement.

In the fires of the fight, Robert fled from the city, wielding not his butcher’s knife, but a pair of pitch black knives encrusted with symbols that glowed a purple colour, a cloak and a pouch holding what little food was left in the house. He headed east, to the sandy area indicated by his mother’s drawing, the one with the knife symbol, and the number “1”, when Robert reached it, he found one man, who did nothing but held out his hand, and Robert placed the only thing of value to him, the dark daggers in his hand. The man began to tell Robert of what he must now do to aid in the war; he must travel to the 4 masters of Wynn province, to learn their magic and skill if he is to lend his hand in the cursed war. Only once he had mastered one skill would he be given the key that the next master would accept. After 5 years of training to become an assassin, Robert was now 17 years old and incredibly powerful, the master, Chak, who had taught him told him his time was now up with him and he would have to progress to learn archer. Chak took Roberts daggers, to which the handles began to glow bright and moulded together to form a large sheen bow, to which he strung a thick strand of his own hair and handed it back to him, and said “even the most experienced soldier must start from scratch when learning a new mastery”, and it was true, Robert was not equipped to deal with any creature that faced him, he’d never even fired a bow!

Robert began his journey further south; past the blizzards into a pocket of land he’d never seen on any map the bow symbol with the number “2” accompanying it. It was home to only one building, a large mansion, to which a man stood with his hands outstretched as Robert approached. Just like 5 years previous, Robert handed him the bow, to which he said “I am Mael, master of archery, let us begin, just as you progress, as does the war.” To which Robert spent a further 5 years mastering the art of crafting and firing arrows, in any situation and learning the magic surrounding the bow. In this time, Robert also learnt about the areas he trained in, Mael was incredibly spiritual; the mansion in which he lived in was also house to many spirits which found Mael to heal them. Robert learnt about the other side and how many of the fallen soldiers return cursed to fight on the other side, to which Robert secretly hoped he was able to communicate with his deceased mother. However, Robert never expressed these desires, and Mael told him the time had come to learn some magic that involved no physical weapon that you could hit people with. Robert handed over his bow, to which a familiar glow transformed it into a pure black rod, with the same purple markings around them. Robert looked at the old, frayed map, to see the next area with a single line in it, and the number “3”, except this time, he knew what area that was. It was the forest he passed through when he was 12 years old to get to the desert to begin his training, he barely made it. For the first time since he began his training, Robert was filled with fear. The forest was full of spiders and poison, and the thought of poison always reminded him of the time he … Well never mind that, Robert set off to the forest wielding a stick that was about as much use as a hollowed out pumpkin. He couldn’t for the life of him make it work, regardless, when he reached the forest, he entered a mystical village suspended in the trees lit by hanging lamps, to which the familiar sight of a man with his hand outstretched grasped the wand Robert laid in his hand. “You are half way through your journey, do not let frustration warp you, let us begin the hardest of all arts.” Were the first words, Ethe, the magical master had ever said to him, and it was certainly true, wand lore had not come so easily to him as knavery or archery had, however the arts of magic eventually flowed through him over the coming 5 years, to which point Robert was now 27 years old, and beginning to wonder if he would ever remain young enough to fight in the war. Ethe told Robert it was time to move on, and transformed his wand into its final form, a giant black spear, even his mature eyes gleamed at the sight of it, the spear was the weapon of Troms, the greatest fort man had ever created.

The map indicated it; he must travel to Troms, where the last spear symbol and the number “4” were written. Upon arrival, Robert was surprised; the city had been hit – hard. He’d never heard of Troms so much as receiving a scratch from the creatures, it was so well guarded, but then again, Robert had been absent from civilization for 15 years. In the fires, a man stood with his hand out stretched, completely ignoring the pleads of the people around him begging for help, to which Robert placed his spear, and he said “This is the final leg of your journey, let the plights of this town that you see here today force you onward with your training, and help protect this land when you are done. My name is Fier, Let us end your training.” Robert spent the next 5 years learning the skills surrounding the spear in the great city of Troms, rebuilding and defending it when necessary in his spare time. It was the first time he was with people, and by people, I mean people that aren’t strict masters of their art that seem to solely exist to teach Robert the ways of the soldier. Robert learnt to love the people he was around, and people called him Bob, rather than Robert, a girl told him “I don’t know, I think you just sound better when you’re called Bob.” Robert liked it, and when he met new people, he introduced himself as thus. Fier’s training after 5 long years had finally come to an end, to which he said this “You are now the strongest soldier this province has ever seen, use your power wisely, and you shall end this war.” Then, to his surprise, all the masters materialised in a line beside Fier, and smiled, Mael even nodding slowly at him, to which a voice behind him said “Why are you crying Bob? There’s no one there…” The 4 masters vanished and Bob knew what he must now do, return to Ragni to save what little is left of it.

Bob then spent the remainder of his life serving as Wynns private demigod, destroying all creatures that ever came near a settlement under his protection, never passing on his skills, in fear they would not be used for the greater good, which troubled him, for if he were to pass, who would replace him? Certainly not his 3 companions, the animals which he loved dearly, perhaps he would brew them a potion, prolonging their life; they were good animals after all. Bobs story quickly became a huge beacon of hope for many fighting the war; no one could defeat Bob and his dark weapons. However people, this is where the story becomes myth I’m afraid, for after the events of Ragni’s 56th horde, some 40 years down the line at the ripe old age of 72, Bob vanished. It was rumoured he heard of a beast corrupting the province, promoting the war and increasing the strength of the monsters, I imagine Bob probably sought to destroy it, but in his old age, perhaps he wasn’t up to the mark. It was then, though, just one year after his disappearance, Bobs tomb appeared in the snow, marking the place where he was buried. By whom? No one knows. Perhaps it was the killer? Or maybe it was his master’s magic? It still lies there today, holding his body, it is worth a visit, many have told of great adventures and magic surrounding the place. One thing is for sure, Bob truly was the master of the Wynn arts, and will forever go down in our history as the mightiest solider, perhaps one day; you can follow in his footsteps.

second part

Dear Nilrem,

The letter I enclose to you has been sealed with concealment magicks. I trust you to know how to read it.

My war against the creature is futile. Intel has reached me from a trusted source. Our world is far smaller than we could have imagined, our magick feeble in comparison to what i am about to explain.

There are realms beyond our comprehension, powers we can not hope to defeat. Two immense forces are at war, with our plain of existence being the battleground. There is a dark creature of the night in a land "far" away, it poses a threat to all.

I give you this letter as a warning and a farewell, friend. I am going to challenge the beast and attempt to seal it away using my own life force, for I know that is all i can do, killing it is not a option.

You know of the magic i have infused in my animal companions, I trust you to hide them until one worthy is able to wield my might. The world can not know of my sacrifice, no one must search for me. You must fake my death, and create a body for them to bury.

The fight will continue, but at least the new recruits will have a fighting chance for the years to come. I wish you luck, Nilrem, continue to train the forces of good, you are the most skilled man than I have ever known.

So. What can we deduce?

Well to start off, Mael was a twain but was also Bob's bow master. The twains were all very old when the corruption started, and bob was just a baby. So we know the approximate range of Bob's lifespan.

Nilrem. I have covered Nilrem before, but upon re-reading the sealed letters I found something very interesting. I already covered how Nilrem was who the note was written to, and how Bob gave him an item of power. What I missed over is exactly HOW close Bob and Nilrem were. Nilrem is the one who took cluckles, mooington, and baab and put them on their designated islands.

Now THIS is where it gets interesting. Nilrem hid the animals.

But look at what Nohno says in Cluck Cluck:

His name is Cluckles, he was given to me by a man named Bob before he went to war, but when Bob never came back, Cluckles got angry...

So. What part of this makes sense? Cluckles was given to Nohno before Bob went to war. Nilrem was instructed to hide the animals before Bob left to fight his final fight.

Bob never came back, so Cluckles got angry. Bob died.

But it says in the letter that Nilrem hid the animals, but Nohno says Bob gave Cluckles to him. I argue that either Nilrem pretended to be Bob, or that I have another Wynncraft's Logic Is Flawed thread coming out soon. Lets assume it's the first one.

That makes us question everything we know about Bob. Was Bob really the one to kill the beast on Dead Island? Any time something is talked about Bob in a "common sense" type of fashion, we could assume it's Nilrem.

Ok, so now that we got that bombshell out of the way, lets talk about Bob's death and tomb.

In the letters Bob tells Nilrem that he will not survive the fight. In his lore it says the tomb appeared in the snow. I am going to assume it was built by Nilrem.

Onto his death. Bob was killed at the age of 72 by a pack of wolves. Or that it what the public is lead to think by what we are told in the Bob's Lost Soul quest.

But what really happened? To start us off, common belief. Common belief is that Bob died to the Corrupter of Worlds (CoW). Now it seems pretty legit. Bob died at old age trying to kill a mysterious beast terrorizing the jungle. However, if we look back at all of our sources, it never says that. We all know it to be true, but where did that story start? No one knows.

What really happened is given to us by 5 clues. Common sense, The ??? Quest, Grian, Salted, and the Mysterious Letters.

Lets go in order. So common sense. We can go to Gavel and we come from Fruma. That means we can go to other provinces. DUH.

??? Quest. Now I can not talk about this one, due to rules, but lets just say it reinforces what we have already said in point number one.

Grian, Salted, and the Mysterious letters. Now people say that the Developers always have a purpose to what they say. Even the smallest spoiler has a reason.

Salted has said that there will be more storyline and lore coming out about Bob with the Fallow Up update. That itself gives us two options. Either we will learn more in Wynn, or the more likely situation, we will learn more in Gavel. If we learn more in Gavel, that means Bob must have been to Gavel. Ignoring the fact that the door was closed, this means that Bob has been to other provinces.

Now. I am not a cocky person. I do not like to say I am important. But I will say that this next piece of info, I was crucial to the creation of.

This is what we see in the sealed letters:

Specifically the last sentence is what I want to focus on. Dark creature of the night in a land "far" away.

Now where do Grian and I come in? Well, remember when I first accused Wynncraft of having flawed logic?I had a pretty solid argument. But we did not know about Fruma. So as a result, Grian burned me so bad? Yeah... That was not fun.

But anyway! Look at Grian's comment.

You even said the answer in your own post, but then contradicted it later

Meaning, there ARE still 3 primary provinces. (Although you should still think of Dern as a province).

"But there are no more provinces" - This. This is where YOU are wrong.

You'll find a new name surface in the update.

We all thought that the point of this comment was to hint at Fruma. But look at how he describes Dern.

You know how I said the Devs always have a plan? Look at the word choice. And now look at what the letters say again. Let me put them parallel so you can compare easily

Bob died trying to fight something in Dern.

Still not convinced? Good you should not be. One bit of evidence is never enough. So lets take a look at gateway island.

I am going to assume Bob went there. There is a letter on the island saying "Dear Nilrem..."

Which is exactly how Bob's sealed letters start.

In two threads (everything we think we know about Nilrem and about Dern) already we have said that the dark place you go to in that quest is Dern. If Bob was on that Island, boom, he has easy access to Dern.

And look at something else from that quest. The NPC guy says whoever set up camp their is pbviously dead. Did they die going into the portal to Dern? It would all fit!

Bob was there 3 times. The first time he went there by mistake. He went through the portal and ended up in Dern. He say the Big Bad Beast and came through to the other side. The abandoned mines. Where the Miners first found Dern. How did Bob get their the first time? Well we know Gateway Island is an island. So although it is not in the Wynnic ocean, we can assume you can access it from the Ocean. The only time we ever 100% know Bob (or perhaps Nilrem) went to the Ocean was when he killed the beast on Dead Island. He could have gone off coarse coming back, and ended up on the Island.

The second time Bob went to the Island he set up camp. Once he went to the island once, he knew how to get there again. He set up shop and started writing his sealed letters to Nilrem. He somehow hid them in the relic shrines in between this and his third trip. Or he gave it to Nilrem and Nilrem hid them later. We don't really know. The reason he went there for the second time is to do recon. He was an expert fighter, he knew what to take on such a beast you need a plan. For a plan you need info. For info you need searcher.

The third and final time Bob went to the Island was at the age of 72 when he went to fight the Beast. He never came back. But Nilrem by this time had already built the tomb, hide the animals, and make up the story about Bob dieing to the wolves. Bob did not manage to kill the beast, but did manage to trap the beast in Dern.

So. That leaves us with only a few plot holes.

Bob told Nilrem to continue training the Good. So where is Nilrem?

If Bob died in Dern, and his spirit went to heaven, How is his body roaming ragni? His Body was never recovered. AND how is his body also in his tomb?

So I know this one was kind of rushed. I want to hear what you guys think. Because, believe it or not, Bob is actually one of the most controversial parts of Wynn.

some people assume that the island would be the only way to dern, but if there are multiple portals to go to and from dern, then it must mean that dern is not really connected to the other provinces and really is a "far away" dark land

I would say there would be a portal in the island and one in the mines. From there we just don't know

Robert was never a popular lad, always treated differently, his skin was a shade of grey unnatural to those of Ragni, who have always been fair skinned, as such he didn’t have many friends and wasn’t held particularly well among the older citizens either. When he was 12 years old, a horde found its way into the city once more, like it did just over a decade before, although far smaller than its predecessor, it was none the less a threat as Ragni’s army was so wounded from the last encounter, the beacons were not lit from the scouts, and caught the entire city by surprise, not Robert though, he always keeps a knife he stole from the butchers in his belt to protect the ones he loves. Being so poor, Momos shack was on the outskirts of Ragni and was one of the first to get hit, Robert ran for the house, finding it empty, but hearing a gasping from below. Entering the cellar, he found his mother lying bleeding beside a recently stabbed creature. He went to her aid, knowing it would be in vain. She simply nodded at him, they had made an agreement when Robert was 8 years old that if she ever became infected she wanted him to end her life, rather than endure the gruesome prolonged infection that had no cure. She placed in his hands a piece of parchment with a crude blood stained drawing of 4 areas each with a strange name under it he hadn’t heard of, she then pointed toward a chest in the corner that had always been locked before she grabbed his hand holding the butchers knife, to which she forced him to uphold his end of the agreement.

In the fires of the fight, Robert fled from the city, wielding not his butcher’s knife, but a pair of pitch black knives encrusted with symbols that glowed a purple colour, a cloak and a pouch holding what little food was left in the house. He headed east, to the sandy area indicated by his mother’s drawing, the one with the knife symbol, and the number “1”, when Robert reached it, he found one man, who did nothing but held out his hand, and Robert placed the only thing of value to him, the dark daggers in his hand. The man began to tell Robert of what he must now do to aid in the war; he must travel to the 4 masters of Wynn province, to learn their magic and skill if he is to lend his hand in the cursed war. Only once he had mastered one skill would he be given the key that the next master would accept. After 5 years of training to become an assassin, Robert was now 17 years old and incredibly powerful, the master, Chak, who had taught him told him his time was now up with him and he would have to progress to learn archer. Chak took Roberts daggers, to which the handles began to glow bright and moulded together to form a large sheen bow, to which he strung a thick strand of his own hair and handed it back to him, and said “even the most experienced soldier must start from scratch when learning a new mastery”, and it was true, Robert was not equipped to deal with any creature that faced him, he’d never even fired a bow!

Robert began his journey further south; past the blizzards into a pocket of land he’d never seen on any map the bow symbol with the number “2” accompanying it. It was home to only one building, a large mansion, to which a man stood with his hands outstretched as Robert approached. Just like 5 years previous, Robert handed him the bow, to which he said “I am Mael, master of archery, let us begin, just as you progress, as does the war.” To which Robert spent a further 5 years mastering the art of crafting and firing arrows, in any situation and learning the magic surrounding the bow. In this time, Robert also learnt about the areas he trained in, Mael was incredibly spiritual; the mansion in which he lived in was also house to many spirits which found Mael to heal them. Robert learnt about the other side and how many of the fallen soldiers return cursed to fight on the other side, to which Robert secretly hoped he was able to communicate with his deceased mother. However, Robert never expressed these desires, and Mael told him the time had come to learn some magic that involved no physical weapon that you could hit people with. Robert handed over his bow, to which a familiar glow transformed it into a pure black rod, with the same purple markings around them. Robert looked at the old, frayed map, to see the next area with a single line in it, and the number “3”, except this time, he knew what area that was. It was the forest he passed through when he was 12 years old to get to the desert to begin his training, he barely made it. For the first time since he began his training, Robert was filled with fear. The forest was full of spiders and poison, and the thought of poison always reminded him of the time he … Well never mind that, Robert set off to the forest wielding a stick that was about as much use as a hollowed out pumpkin. He couldn’t for the life of him make it work, regardless, when he reached the forest, he entered a mystical village suspended in the trees lit by hanging lamps, to which the familiar sight of a man with his hand outstretched grasped the wand Robert laid in his hand. “You are half way through your journey, do not let frustration warp you, let us begin the hardest of all arts.” Were the first words, Ethe, the magical master had ever said to him, and it was certainly true, wand lore had not come so easily to him as knavery or archery had, however the arts of magic eventually flowed through him over the coming 5 years, to which point Robert was now 27 years old, and beginning to wonder if he would ever remain young enough to fight in the war. Ethe told Robert it was time to move on, and transformed his wand into its final form, a giant black spear, even his mature eyes gleamed at the sight of it, the spear was the weapon of Troms, the greatest fort man had ever created.

The map indicated it; he must travel to Troms, where the last spear symbol and the number “4” were written. Upon arrival, Robert was surprised; the city had been hit – hard. He’d never heard of Troms so much as receiving a scratch from the creatures, it was so well guarded, but then again, Robert had been absent from civilization for 15 years. In the fires, a man stood with his hand out stretched, completely ignoring the pleads of the people around him begging for help, to which Robert placed his spear, and he said “This is the final leg of your journey, let the plights of this town that you see here today force you onward with your training, and help protect this land when you are done. My name is Fier, Let us end your training.” Robert spent the next 5 years learning the skills surrounding the spear in the great city of Troms, rebuilding and defending it when necessary in his spare time. It was the first time he was with people, and by people, I mean people that aren’t strict masters of their art that seem to solely exist to teach Robert the ways of the soldier. Robert learnt to love the people he was around, and people called him Bob, rather than Robert, a girl told him “I don’t know, I think you just sound better when you’re called Bob.” Robert liked it, and when he met new people, he introduced himself as thus. Fier’s training after 5 long years had finally come to an end, to which he said this “You are now the strongest soldier this province has ever seen, use your power wisely, and you shall end this war.” Then, to his surprise, all the masters materialised in a line beside Fier, and smiled, Mael even nodding slowly at him, to which a voice behind him said “Why are you crying Bob? There’s no one there…” The 4 masters vanished and Bob knew what he must now do, return to Ragni to save what little is left of it.

Bob then spent the remainder of his life serving as Wynns private demigod, destroying all creatures that ever came near a settlement under his protection, never passing on his skills, in fear they would not be used for the greater good, which troubled him, for if he were to pass, who would replace him? Certainly not his 3 companions, the animals which he loved dearly, perhaps he would brew them a potion, prolonging their life; they were good animals after all. Bobs story quickly became a huge beacon of hope for many fighting the war; no one could defeat Bob and his dark weapons. However people, this is where the story becomes myth I’m afraid, for after the events of Ragni’s 56th horde, some 40 years down the line at the ripe old age of 72, Bob vanished. It was rumoured he heard of a beast corrupting the province, promoting the war and increasing the strength of the monsters, I imagine Bob probably sought to destroy it, but in his old age, perhaps he wasn’t up to the mark. It was then, though, just one year after his disappearance, Bobs tomb appeared in the snow, marking the place where he was buried. By whom? No one knows. Perhaps it was the killer? Or maybe it was his master’s magic? It still lies there today, holding his body, it is worth a visit, many have told of great adventures and magic surrounding the place. One thing is for sure, Bob truly was the master of the Wynn arts, and will forever go down in our history as the mightiest solider, perhaps one day; you can follow in his footsteps.

second part

Dear Nilrem,

The letter I enclose to you has been sealed with concealment magicks. I trust you to know how to read it.

My war against the creature is futile. Intel has reached me from a trusted source. Our world is far smaller than we could have imagined, our magick feeble in comparison to what i am about to explain.

There are realms beyond our comprehension, powers we can not hope to defeat. Two immense forces are at war, with our plain of existence being the battleground. There is a dark creature of the night in a land "far" away, it poses a threat to all.

I give you this letter as a warning and a farewell, friend. I am going to challenge the beast and attempt to seal it away using my own life force, for I know that is all i can do, killing it is not a option.

You know of the magic i have infused in my animal companions, I trust you to hide them until one worthy is able to wield my might. The world can not know of my sacrifice, no one must search for me. You must fake my death, and create a body for them to bury.

The fight will continue, but at least the new recruits will have a fighting chance for the years to come. I wish you luck, Nilrem, continue to train the forces of good, you are the most skilled man than I have ever known.

So. What can we deduce?

Well to start off, Mael was a twain but was also Bob's bow master. The twains were all very old when the corruption started, and bob was just a baby. So we know the approximate range of Bob's lifespan.

Nilrem. I have covered Nilrem before, but upon re-reading the sealed letters I found something very interesting. I already covered how Nilrem was who the note was written to, and how Bob gave him an item of power. What I missed over is exactly HOW close Bob and Nilrem were. Nilrem is the one who took cluckles, mooington, and baab and put them on their designated islands.

Now THIS is where it gets interesting. Nilrem hid the animals.

But look at what Nohno says in Cluck Cluck:

His name is Cluckles, he was given to me by a man named Bob before he went to war, but when Bob never came back, Cluckles got angry...

So. What part of this makes sense? Cluckles was given to Nohno before Bob went to war. Nilrem was instructed to hide the animals before Bob left to fight his final fight.

Bob never came back, so Cluckles got angry. Bob died.

But it says in the letter that Nilrem hid the animals, but Nohno says Bob gave Cluckles to him. I argue that either Nilrem pretended to be Bob, or that I have another Wynncraft's Logic Is Flawed thread coming out soon. Lets assume it's the first one.

That makes us question everything we know about Bob. Was Bob really the one to kill the beast on Dead Island? Any time something is talked about Bob in a "common sense" type of fashion, we could assume it's Nilrem.

Ok, so now that we got that bombshell out of the way, lets talk about Bob's death and tomb.

In the letters Bob tells Nilrem that he will not survive the fight. In his lore it says the tomb appeared in the snow. I am going to assume it was built by Nilrem.

Onto his death. Bob was killed at the age of 72 by a pack of wolves. Or that it what the public is lead to think by what we are told in the Bob's Lost Soul quest.

But what really happened? To start us off, common belief. Common belief is that Bob died to the Corrupter of Worlds (CoW). Now it seems pretty legit. Bob died at old age trying to kill a mysterious beast terrorizing the jungle. However, if we look back at all of our sources, it never says that. We all know it to be true, but where did that story start? No one knows.

What really happened is given to us by 5 clues. Common sense, The ??? Quest, Grian, Salted, and the Mysterious Letters.

Lets go in order. So common sense. We can go to Gavel and we come from Fruma. That means we can go to other provinces. DUH.

??? Quest. Now I can not talk about this one, due to rules, but lets just say it reinforces what we have already said in point number one.

Grian, Salted, and the Mysterious letters. Now people say that the Developers always have a purpose to what they say. Even the smallest spoiler has a reason.

Salted has said that there will be more storyline and lore coming out about Bob with the Fallow Up update. That itself gives us two options. Either we will learn more in Wynn, or the more likely situation, we will learn more in Gavel. If we learn more in Gavel, that means Bob must have been to Gavel. Ignoring the fact that the door was closed, this means that Bob has been to other provinces.

Now. I am not a cocky person. I do not like to say I am important. But I will say that this next piece of info, I was crucial to the creation of.

This is what we see in the sealed letters:

Specifically the last sentence is what I want to focus on. Dark creature of the night in a land "far" away.

Now where do Grian and I come in? Well, remember when I first accused Wynncraft of having flawed logic?I had a pretty solid argument. But we did not know about Fruma. So as a result, Grian burned me so bad? Yeah... That was not fun.

But anyway! Look at Grian's comment.

Meaning, there ARE still 3 primary provinces. (Although you should still think of Dern as a province).

We all thought that the point of this comment was to hint at Fruma. But look at how he describes Dern.

Still not convinced? Good you should not be. One bit of evidence is never enough. So lets take a look at gateway island.

I am going to assume Bob went there. There is a letter on the island saying "Dear Nilrem..."

Which is exactly how Bob's sealed letters start.

In two threads (everything we think we know about Nilrem and about Dern) already we have said that the dark place you go to in that quest is Dern. If Bob was on that Island, boom, he has easy access to Dern.

And look at something else from that quest. The NPC guy says whoever set up camp their is pbviously dead. Did they die going into the portal to Dern? It would all fit!

Bob was there 3 times. The first time he went there by mistake. He went through the portal and ended up in Dern. He say the Big Bad Beast and came through to the other side. The abandoned mines. Where the Miners first found Dern. How did Bob get their the first time? Well we know Gateway Island is an island. So although it is not in the Wynnic ocean, we can assume you can access it from the Ocean. The only time we ever 100% know Bob (or perhaps Nilrem) went to the Ocean was when he killed the beast on Dead Island. He could have gone off coarse coming back, and ended up on the Island.

The second time Bob went to the Island he set up camp. Once he went to the island once, he knew how to get there again. He set up shop and started writing his sealed letters to Nilrem. He somehow hid them in the relic shrines in between this and his third trip. Or he gave it to Nilrem and Nilrem hid them later. We don't really know. The reason he went there for the second time is to do recon. He was an expert fighter, he knew what to take on such a beast you need a plan. For a plan you need info. For info you need searcher.

The third and final time Bob went to the Island was at the age of 72 when he went to fight the Beast. He never came back. But Nilrem by this time had already built the tomb, hide the animals, and make up the story about Bob dieing to the wolves. Bob did not manage to kill the beast, but did manage to trap the beast in Dern.

So. That leaves us with only a few plot holes.

Bob told Nilrem to continue training the Good. So where is Nilrem?

If Bob died in Dern, and his spirit went to heaven, How is his body roaming ragni? His Body was never recovered. AND how is his body also in his tomb?

So I know this one was kind of rushed. I want to hear what you guys think. Because, believe it or not, Bob is actually one of the most controversial parts of Wynn.

This has been discussed before. And although that is kind of along the lines, it has flaws.

Firstly he never really trains you, just recruits you. Qira and Death do a better job of that!

And we really have no evidence. Nilrem being the king has come up before, but it just has not real supporting evidence.

You are welcome to try to make an argument for it however! Perhaps you see something I skimmed over. Who knows. But from how I look at it, I don't see it as a viable option.

I posted this thread. I very soon afterwords was informed about the invalidity of the lore. I after that made the thread you are referring to.

But I do feel like my argument on this thread is not effected by the change in lore. Unless the Bob lore is 100% changed.

(Spoilers for people who hasn't done Quest:Purple and Blue) I can relate to him giving Nohno the baby of a cockatrice since he is one the observatories of Gavel (taken from the quest of Purple and Blue), and also if you look at another line said in the text of the quest Purple and Blue...
It seems like the "white stone" was some sort of rock that came from space and that there were different/other colors than the 3 told. So anyways, what I'm trying to prove is that Nohno went crazy and went into an addiction of liking chickens.Bob and probably others seems to have heard of him and Bob has entrusted him to take care of Cluckles. This also proves that Bob has trusts from different Provinces (Probably already obvious).

Could it be the Ender Dragon? Based on the context it does say Dark Land-Far off-Far away(The End Dimension), Dark Creature (Ender Dragon)
and you can't say Ender Dragons don't exist in wynncraft because as it is said in Quest:Temple of Legends.
And since Bob said "Mined too deep", doesn't that mean that he mined so deep that he found an End Portal?

^Realms being the End realm and dark creature of the night in a land far away being the Ender Dragon^
And also In Minecraft, they once said that they were planning to make a place called the Sky Island ("Far" away from the ground) but instead they shut down that idea and made the End realm which was the opposite of everything they had planned e.g: It is always Daytime in the Sky Island=It is always dark in the sky island.<More evidence (Irrelevant, but it was also stated that it was a Dream Dimension)
It could be that they were referring "Far away land" as the Far Lands, a place at the VERY end of Minecraft (This was later removed and replaced with world borders/boundaries)
Please find and say my flaws! I am very interested in this theory and would like to help in any way possible!

The Main flaw is that wynncraft lore usually doesn't tie into vanilla Minecraft. Kelight's dialogue is most likely there to show his disbelief in creepers, which were, up until the events of the Creeper Infiltration quests, largely thought to be myths. I can't find anything else soooo...
