LOCKING POSTS

When you lock a post as a moderator, you may be ending a flame war, stopping a necropost, or stopping a thread hijack. Whatever it is, it has something to do with rules.

But some people would rather lock their thread because it's not relevant anymore or they want it to be a thread you cant reply to.

Yes, I know there is a handy dandy button in Thread Tools called Delete Thread. But what if you're a shopkeeper, and your shop is closed for a bit? Players who just use Trade Market may be like "hey its a shop" and not see "closed". Then they're like "eyyyy I want ur amazin mythics!!! ill pay 4954648975 stacks of le!!!!". But the shop is closed..! If you are able to lock and unlock your OWN thread (and own thread ONLY) You can open/close your shop or your thread when its needed.


See? Simple! It would also work with that old Thread Contributors suggestion, you can choose if you want to let someone open/close the thread. I'll see ya around !

Like what was last said. Plus it prevents the past shop keeper to explain "i dont have this item because this shop has died, sorry" to some dude who wants that item.

you can use the handy dandy report button to ask for a lock.

 

But being me, I am impatient, so requesting a lock may or may not take a bit to reply to and lock. If I want a thread that no one can reply to, asking for a lock will take time and someone could reply during that time.
