A Broken World [rp]

I continue to jog back to my mentor, trying to not look suspicious

 

"New? Hah you're on the wrong part of town for that buddy" the goods peddler says with a toothy grin. "But if ya want to i can fix ya up with a pair of only slightly worn boots!" He points to a pair of obviously heavily worn leather boots. However they look sturdy enough and you agree a price of 30 Denars (this is the currency in Sariel). You put your new boots on and cast away the old rubber soles, and stick your hand into your pocket to pay the peddler.
Nothing is to be found. You smile at the peddler, who looks at you slightly suspiciously.

Fire* not acid. Is a lot more medieval-ish :P Also, as i said, the magic itself is just a rumour and it is only said it would burn like fire in the face of evil. It has yet to actually burn anyone. As for the backstory, ill see if i can think of something.

You find your master sitting at the usual spot, listening to the birds overhead and twirling an arrow in his hands. He raises an eyebrow at you - as he always does when you're a little late. This expression changes as he realizes you are not carrying your pack, and seem to be somewhat out of breath.
"Something is wrong" he mutters under his breath, and instinctively feels for his bow while moving to a position suited better for shooting any oncoming attackers as he waits for you to arrive.

 

I grab my bow in a position to shoot and I explain everything to gin

 

Your master listens patiently and with a grim demeanor while you tell him the happenings of earlier that day.
"Are you sure they know who you are" he asks once you are done, "is there no way of simply going back?"

 

I take the boots an run screaming, "Ill pay ya back later I promise!" as I ran out of town I saw the forrest, "Perfect." I say to myself

"I don't know, I may be able to get my pack or something. I'm not sure. The bandits may still be after me..." I trail off

 

"Very well.. we shall head back to get your things... then you must leave" your master says.
You start tracking back to the castle walls when you hear some commotion and see a peasant running from the gates, followed by an angry shopkeeper and 5 guards.

You head straight toward the forest at first when you see two marksmen heading in your direction. You look behind yourself and see the shop owner who ran as far as the gates pointing at you and screaming at a few guards. You hear some swear words and notice the phrase "lightly worn boots".
A caravan has stopped just left of you. The wheel is stuck in some kind of ditch. The caravan guard is currently not watching you.

 

Continue on my way, and try to spark up a convo with the master

 

I see the horse that the caravan driver has, "Hmm, I wonder..." I steal the caravan's horse and head into the woods where the marksmen are.

 

The caravan guard is taken by surprise by your assault and you push him off his horse. Quickly you saddle up and ride for the marksmen

You just want to start talking about something when the peasant - now in possession of a horse, heads straight towards you

 

"Watch out!!!" I scream as my new horse runs into the woods almost trampling the marksmen. When I get to a safe spot I check my backpack to see what's still in it, "Well I have my sword on my belt, my flask and my small pouch, speaking of which, let's check inside, (opens pouch) Well it ain't bad, but it ain't good either, I have 3 Denars, some jerky and berries, my pocket knife, and the letter with the map." Then he closes his pouch and puts it back in the bag, then checks the horse. "Hmm, he is a nice horse, and it will get me to my client faster, I'll name him Dusty." Then Rogue checks Dusty's saddlebags. "What do we have here?"

 

I quickly think to my self "maybe i can gain something if I hinder the horse." I then realize, i could easily be in his same place, if i continued on the same path. I just dodge out of the way, yelling at my master to do the same.

 

Well I've just had my 1st other player encounter, wonder what will happen next once Francis gets back?

 

i was going to shoot the horses leg, but i decided against it :P, i actually even edited

after making sure everyone is asleep, I dump out one of the other worker's packs, fill it with the leftover food, and hide it outside in a spot that only I know.

 

I edited mine to to go into more detail of what I was rummaging through

EDIT: I got rid of most of my last comment also this is one of my 1st role plays, so I'm sorta new to the whole grand scheme of things

 

Another thing, I wonder what the guards were thinking when they saw a 16 year old, barely an adult, shove a lightly armored 30 year old man off his horse very swiftly, then proceed to steal the horse (aka grand theft equestrian) and charge toward the woods, they must have been shocked! XD

 

Fumbling a little with the catch you manage to break the saddlebag and the contents spills out onto the forest floor. You find another 12 denars - probably half of what the caravan guard was payed for his duties, a small pocket knife hardly sharp enough to pierce the skin, another map, a few more personal belongings, as well as another few letters that seem to be addressed to the caravan guards.

You hop to the side quickly, dodging the horse. Your master is not as quick. The horse tramples against his shoulder as attempts to throw hmself to the side and you hear the unmistakable crack of a bone.
You get up and brush yourself off quickly before going to your masters aid. He is grimacing, and it seems he cannot move his right arm, but at least hes still alive. You help him up, careful not to touch his right shoulder, and steady his while he leans on you - just as the first guard appears on scene...
