SPOILER 99% Foolproof Bob Theory

Okay I don't understand how Chak, Mael, and the other two dick heads (forgot their names) play a role in all of this. If you say Bob was suppose to be the hero who saved Dern, then why did his masters who taught the art of fighting exist in Wynn. They were clearly familiar with the weapons Bob held, so I don't think Bob was destined to save Dern. His mother came to Wynn for a reason, and his 4 masters probably knew his mother. They probably promised her that they would teach Bob, so that he could one day save Wynn.

 

They would say something.

Like in Gavel all the time they call you Humie or "you with the small nose"

Even if it's not racist, something would have been said

Well. Mael was already a hero in Wynn, so why not train a new hero?

But in general let's say they did know his mom. She would have asked them to train him to be a hero, so he would be prepared to go and save Dern. But the corruption in Wynn got in the way

 

Please stop telling people Dern isn't a province. Grian says, "In the lore of the game, people don't consider Dern a true 'province'."

When he says "people" and "in the lore of the game", he means clueless humans and villagers who barely know anything about the land in order to determine whether it's a province or not. Whether it has cities or not. When he says "think of Dern as a province" and "there are 3 primary provinces" "another will surface in the update" he doesn't mean "so basically, Dern isn't a province." He means what he said:

"Three primary provinces" "Another soon to come" "Think of Dern as a province".

tl;dr Grian said that Dern is a province and that NPCs only see it as a "far off dark land" because they're clueless

 

Now we are speculating and grasping for straws we think exist. If they planned for him to go to Dern, then they probably would've sent him right after his training, but they didn't... also the corruption had been around for hundreds of years when Bob was around. Also I believe in the story Momo gives him the daggers and a map, everything was planned for Bob. His mom planned for him to go to the 4 masters and be taught by them to become the hero of Wynn.

Anyway, about all the hints that Grian has talked about on Dern, this one seems a bit odd:

 

He means the three provinces we knew before the update. The "main one's" if you will:

Dern, Wynn, Gavel

 

What I'm suggesting is that Fruma may not be related to the main lore (the two forces; dark and light). In fact, this seems plausible as nobody talks about Corruption in Fruma.

 

Yeah seems about right. Gavel is too light, Dern is too dark, Wynn is an awful mix of light and dark, and Fruma is just right.

Fun Fact: "Fruma" in Old English means "beginning, origin".

 

Cool fact! I think Fruma is where you go on vacation when you're sick of the mobs XD

That Bob is an Enderm- is of Dernish descent.

 

Endermen are black. Bob's gray. We've seen bobs dead body and he's not tall and lanky. So probably not.

I highly disagree. I belive the three are Wynn, Gavel, and Fruma. Those are the three where we 100% know that we have civilized life.

Dern we are still in the assumption stage.

Corruption was not around for hundreds of years. It has been around for EXACTLY a hundred.

And think of it like this. When they fled to Wynn they did not know the corruption existed. It has jus started at the time. Bobs mom wanted him to go to Dern, but to him Wynn had a bigger importance

 

Grian says "meaning there ARE still 3 Primary Provinces" after explaining that Dern is a province but not in the eyes of the NPCs. Using basic grammar he was talking about Gavel, Wynn, and the province he JUST talked about before going into that "meaning that..." thing.

After explaining that there are three main provinces and that Dern is one of them, he then goes into introducing Fruma.

He says basically "the fact that Dern is a province means there ARE still 3 primary provinces". It's just the way he worded his sentences.

The theory of his guardian being a friend is too much of a jump. If she had a friend in the city she wouldn't have given birth in the sewers, and she probs wouldn't have died.

 

Show me some in-game proof, I would like to see this. Also even if somehow the 4 masters completely ignored Bob's destiny and designated plan and just let him stay in Wynn for the corruption Dern would've already been consumed by the darkness. It is too late and it was too late for Bob a hundred years ago to save Dern from darkness. And this is just my opinion, but I don't believe Dern is dark, because of the Darkness that is consuming Gavel. I think that is the natural state of Dern. Just my opinion, I do not want to yet share my thoughts, there is not enough evidence.

 

Nice work! But there is one thing that bothered me about it a little...

I remember there was a pretty good theory a while back (probably before 9/7), that discussed if Bob was actually dead. In that thread, there was a theory that Bob had fled to Gavel for reasons (I really can't remember much else of the theory.) I said "Maybe he doesn't want to be found", but then Grian responded "You don't want to find him." (Or something worded differently with the same meaning.)
I don't know, I would give more evidence from the theory if I could remember it, but sadly I can't; really all this post is supposed to say is perhaps you should look a little more into Bob's demise before you label him dead.
