[36 Supporters] The Skill Compass And Soul Point Indicator Should Be Merged Together.

This will save us 1 slot of space, without losing anything. Currently, the soul point indicator is the most useless of the taken up slots that occupy our inventory, the only thing it shows us is how many soul points we have and what are the chances of our items dropping, personally, I think this would fit better with our new skill point compass, aside from making our inventory cleaner, we also save more space. Having it merged with our skill point compass wouldn't be a bad thing.

I will include images soon, but I don't have access to the Hero BETA, so I will need someone to provide me a screenshot that I can edit, I'll try to make a mockup in my singleplayer world if possible.

Also, let's take it a step further:
make it so that there's no compass, and when you open the quest book you get to choose if you want to see compass or book.

It sounds good, but there should be an easy and obvious way to see soul points, and new players should be able to understand it. Maybe it could be moved to the action bar so you can see it?

Absolutely yes. When you're using multiple weapons like a walkspeed weapon and some elemental specialties you run out of hotbar space fast.

I'm not sure how I feel about having the quest book and compass in the same menu. I feel like that would be too confusing to navigate.

I'll be honest though, I'll miss the old setup nostalgically. This is much more efficient so I'm for it.

That one on the right of the Jukebox is the Soul Point Indicator. Shouldn't be too difficult to notice.

Why so? It makes much more sense if the compass is used instead. Soul Points are stats that should fall under the stat-related item, not the other way round.

 

What im saying is the soul point image should still be in the hotbar so newbies (and even long time players who have lost track of their sp count) can still see it regularly.

So keep SP indicator in hotbar --> click on the SP for compass menu

Maybe,it would be nice to do a new texture for the compass, (soul compass for example) and the number of soul points will be displayed on the compass (with that you don't need to open the compass menu to see your skill points).

And maybe it can be unlocked with a quest.

 

So sprint, coords and soul points in action bar? No way.

 

I don't know, I was just giving an idea. I just think people should be able to easily see their soul points without having to open the compass, imagine being chased by mobs and having to open your compass menu (and therefore stop moving) so that you could see how many soul points you have and decide what to do.

I'm not sure about that. While it may be a bit more useful, I think it won't look as good, it isn't that hard either to just say "You have lost 2 soul points. Check your Compass to see how many you have.", and it isn't a big hassle to open your Compass to check your Soul Point count. Not having it there won't be the end of your life or create life-and-death situations.
