From what I've read this drops off of a rare mob in Dernel Jungle(I believe it was called Mahogany Colossus). Don't think it's 100% drop chance.

I recall seeing mobs called Smoke Serpents in lower Molten Heights. If they haven't been removed, I think you should check those.

If anyone was wondering, you can also find a lot of Tier 3 ingredients in loot chests. I assume anything specific to a rare mob can't be found. I know nothing from bosses can be found. However, I have found a couple Cursed Wings just from Tier 1 chests, as well as Electroplasms, Ancient Coins, Pork Fillets, Mega Ferns, and Ocea Steels. I assume these can be anywhere from Tier 1 to Tier 4 chests. I've looted about 7,000 chests in Corkus in the past few days to find these. Of course, there's some rare mobs around, like the ravanger (or scavanger, whichever it is. The 6 legged thing) which drops Overheated Processor, but I have yet to find that in a chest.

Speaking of which, I don't think the Overheated Processor comes from an Altar, since I get it from killing that rare mob.

Things like Electroplasm and Ancient Coins can spawn in chests full of level 100 items, even though they're very under level.





If it's true that rare mob drops can't be found in chests, that will give a lot of information on which mob drops the Linear Accelerator if I happen to come across it in a chest. But I have yet to find out

I found a Mega Fern, Pork Fillet, and Electroplasm in chests during my loot run video, which should certainly be enough proof. Not going to link the video here, however. Going to make a thread with it soon

He's called "Rampant Overseer" and is really fast and teleports all the time. He spawns at a specific location and I've killed him a couple of times. He didnt drop anything however the way he behaves is in line with the properties of the ingredien(fast and tp)
Edit: Also he's lvl 90 so that would fit with the ingredient. I'll do some testing and see if i can confirm

Ran into him earlier, I don't think I killed him though. I know there's like a black fiery/smokey mob thing, which looks similar to the Overseer from a far, that you find flying around, which drops a Tier 2 ingredient

Do you mean Golden Avia Feather?

 

No, I know what mob that's from, and that Avian has been around forever. I don't really know how to explain it. I'll take a screenshot next time I come across it. Honestly the new mob I'm referring to spawns about as frequent as that though. Not as rare as a rare mob, makes sense that it's drop is also a Tier 2, like the Golden Avia Feathers

No thats not confirmed yet. The coords for this mob are somewhere around -1295 | -3346 . Write that more people should check it out so we can confirm.
