Elemental Revamp Update + 1.19 Teaser

    Hello everyone!

    As a result of the community feedback and other issues we found, we've decided to revert the elemental revamp plan we shared a month and a half ago. The disruption it caused was just not worth the changes after some good amount of thinking. And in the end, we were already working on something major for items in 1.19 that wouldn't be breaking everyone's current build.

    I've also heard lately that you guys wanted some teasers for 1.19, so today I'll show you what we've been working on for items. Keep in mind this is all unfinished and is subject to change. We also invite early feedback if you have any.

    These are called Major IDs, and they have special effects not seen anywhere in the game. They add new abilities, or change how your spells work. Here's another:

    (50% is a bit high and is likely going to get reduced, otherwise you'll end up dying because of your friends quite often)

    This one is surprisingly good in some situations:

    Yes, it means EVERY spells in the game, not just the ones from your class. Be careful when traveling in the Sky Islands with this item.

    Here's the last one I'll share today:

    Nothing groundbreaking, but it's quite fun to walk around killing things and have a long line of items and emeralds following you.


    Those are not all of them, but we don't want to spoil TOO much yet. For the cooler ones, you'll have to wait for 1.19. :saltedhappy: The update is not quite ready yet, but it's getting there!

    We think these IDs will bring some very unique build types, and open the door to a lot of funky/OP strats. The update will also come with new regular IDs, we hope you're looking forward to all that! We also want to thank everyone for the feedback on the elemental revamp. We'll be more careful about your builds in the future.

    FAQ:

    Q: Will all item tiers get Major IDs?
    A: Nope, Major IDs will be restricted to tiers above rares. This excludes both set items and set bonuses.

    Q: Will all mythics get Major IDs?
    A: No, only some mythics will receive them. Major IDs tend to be concentrated gameplay changes, which means that it takes away from power in other places (base stats/normal identifications).

    Q: Are ingredients going to have Major IDs?
    A: Nope, they will not. Ingredients will have exclusive normal IDs. Crafting is centred around flexibility and power whereas Major IDs are specific to gameplay changes.

    Q: What is being brought forward from the Element Revamp?
    A: There are a few things but the most notable one that will be brought forward is the Master Hive Armour.

    Small thing to note: Some ideas from the elemental revamp will still stick around, but most of it will be reverted and we'll try to avoid changing skill point requirements too much.

    Also, this is looking really cool. Guardian and Madness seem incredibly fun, and thanks for sharing some stuff!
    Here's to hope 1.19 brings a lot.

    The Elemental Revamp being mostly reverted is.. too bad, but fully understandable when keeping certain community feedback in mind. I myself was quite excited for it, and I do hope most of it will still go through, just spread out over multiple updates.

    Gravity is going to be so useful now for grinding classes due to the ""Magnet ID" or Item Draw ability.
    Guardian is fat rip tho.
    It'd be better if it suppressed a % of damage instead of simply redirecting it.
