Here's the Akademiya's Distinguished Scholar Award, this is the Sumeru Puzzlers' League Lifetime Achievement Award, and there's something from the Synopsium on Ruin Mechanisms...

What do you think? Got any interest in becoming my student?
Ahem, just as a note, I am from the Haravatat Darshan. You'll get lost if you try to find me in the halls of Kshahrewar.

But I will gladly invite you to Legacy, the City of Steam, center of knowledge and hope for the green future. I am sure a scholar like you would appreciate it. The world may be cold, but our heart will never stop burning.

Let's make it just "badly" then!

    Fun fact(s) of the day:
    1. Chess has existed for 1500 years.
    2. Despite being one of the most important pieces, the queen was not in the original version of chess.
    3. Like the queen, a pawn moving two spaces was also a late addition. This is what lead to the rule, en passant.

What took its place (or was the board just smaller and there was one less pawn?)

Not what I learned. I believe it was the “advisor” and was weaker than the king. I could be wrong but that is what Ted-Ed and Wikipedia both say.

Horses actually are believed to have originated in the Americas and then quickly spread across the world. However they became extinct in the Western Hemisphere at the end of the last ice age.

Because of the lack of useful and potentially domesticable animals in the Americans (besides the Alpaca), Native Americans weren't living with animals, so no animal to human disease transition, so there wasn't an American disease that would infect the old world like smallpox ravaged the Native Americans.
