Also, in response to your "Big gen 5 fan" comment on another thread, I admit that yes, gen 5 is my fav because all the others have too many flaws to ignore. Let's list them cuz I'm bored.

Gen 1: Gamebreaking bugs and balancing issues, overall next to no postgame
Gen 2: Bad level curve, bad new pokemon in terms of usefulness, johto is bland and going to kanto is cool n all, but not much has actually changed from here to gen 1
Gen 3: 7.8/10, too much water
Gen 4: Fog, deep snow, and marshy land. What do these have in common? They contribute to the slow as molasses gameplay of Sinnoh
Gen 5: The best generation. The only real issues are bad pokemon designs (which isn't really a problem, people are just shallow) and a linear map (which is natural for a story-based game, and every pokemon game has some sort of linear map.)
Gen 6: Too easy
Gen 7: This is probably my favorite gen since 5, but it does have major issues. Mostly the handholding and characters don't know when to shut up. There aren't as many "cutscenes" as a lot of people think, but if you count parts with dialogue where you can't move as cutscenes, then yes, there's way too many of them. I bet this was only done because Pokemon GO got popular a few months before this gen was released. Luckily, after playing Let's Go Eevee, there seems to be less handholding to an extent than in Sun and Moon, so there's that.
