So I use convos alot. Like a hella lot. And two things have come up, and I wanted to make a little suggestion on them.

1) Liking

Add a dang like button. Like sometimes someone says something really funny. But there aint a dang like button! You get the point of this one.

(Note, you also can't quote, but I get that part)

2) Poll

Now this one I actually care about more. So lets say everyone in the convo is taking a vote on something. How do you do that? You could use something like scratchpoll but that requires you having to go back and find and page and whatnot.

If you had the option to make a poll that would be at the top of the thread, no matter what page you are on, that would fix the problem. And you could take down and change the poll whenever!

Step 1: Make a convo with a friend(s).
Step 2: Make a bunch of replies along the lines of "Like This"
Step 3: Have your friend(s) like all of them.
Step 4: Gain likes.

Really, if you wanted to add a system that's like the Like system, you could have a "Fake-Like" for conversations. This would bring up the same sort of message, but without increasing their likes.

 

Well firstly that would break the like bombing rule. So I don't think people would abuse it.

But I think the fake-like system would be cool

(Personally I almost never like anything, unless I find it truly mind blowing. So it would not make a difference to me, but I see how other people would care)

I was talking about multi quote. You can't quote someone in a convo and insert the quote outside of the convo.

You can multi-quote into a convo, but not out.

As pretty much everyone above has said, people would be able to get likes very quickly by cheating it. And having 'fake-likes' would probably confuse some people.

The poll idea is alright, but in the end, there'd be no point to implement it into Xenforo because you can just use something like http://strawpoll.me/ really quickly. :P

First one could be abused as a way of like-farming, second one is not bad, but as @Jamer_theGamer said, you could just use strawpoll.

What I REALLY want is the "upload a file" button in convos, I hate having to use Imgur EVERY TIME I want to upload a picture of something in a convo....

I don't know what a convo is, can someone explain? then I'll make up my mind.
