12 Yr Old Son Wants To Join, What To Watch Out For?

We just had our first session. I'm level 5 and he's level 8 showing me the ropes. Our accounts are +-1 from my username.

By no means do you need voice chat in order to participate in the community, I don’t recommend it though, sometimes we get into some pretty kinky stuff on Discord.

The server itself has a toggle for swear words and blood, so in game you would not have to worry about that.

The forums would be okay as long as he doesn’t drag himself into the Wynncraft section of the forums. I would say allow him to only use the class builds, item recipes , trade market, and announcements sections, the first two so he can get help with making powerful sets, the third so he could make some money/emeralds (Don’t worry, it’s not transacted, it’s actually against the rules to pay people real money for emeralds) off of any items he has, and the fourth so he can stay up to date on any patches or major updates.

Many of the veteran players joined when they were 8-12 years old, so in that case, I’d say he would be fine with the content that the content team produces. The worst/most horrific moments are rare and dumbed down for users his age.

PvM is incredibly diverse, and there are over 2,000 different mobs that he may encounter, many may even take him outside of the standard world.

PvP is done through two ways, #1, which I absolutely don’t recommend, is the Nether. It’s a PvP war zone located in the Roots of Corruption, but right now it is broken in more ways than one (cough cough fix the nether ct cough cough)

The second method is to simply shift, and left click on a player, if they accept your duel request, you two will be able to fight.



I understand you’ve already let him play, but many of the replies failed to mention the discord aspect, and the forums itself.

 

your son is 12? he should probably know what blood and swears are by now unless hes amish or smth (which i doubt is true lel)

No one told you to "shut up". However, I've cleaned up all of the useless content (and quotes of it, just to get rid of it), and handed out some warnings. Any more infractions of our rules won't be tolerated.
